What do wewe think it means?

I complimented the shoes of a guy I like. He alisema thank wewe but after that siku he never wore them again. It's been about a mwezi and a half and now I don't think it's coincidental. He knows I like him so idk what message he is trying to send. But One time he was staring at me and when I caught him, he just kept looking with this blank expression untl I looked away. And anytime he catches me staring, he will keep looking too until I look away. We bearly talk and when we do it's when he asks to borrow stuff from me. And one time when I let him borrow something, he alisema " you're the best" which wewe wouldn't say to someone wewe know who likes wewe unless wewe we're trying to turn them on, right? So I'm just getting a bunch of mixed signals. What do wewe think this means?

Yeah, it's best to be Marafiki first, au so I've heard. So even if they don't end up liking you, wewe can still be friends, which isn't a bad thing.
