Can wewe guys help?? :/

Basically, I had a really good friend, who broke up with his girlfriend. And, I'm sort of the person who wants to help any of her Marafiki in their tough times... And he sort of had it tough (he was a kid, y'know..break-ups are harsh,, but seriously a kid..)..so I was around a lot post-break-up (his)... And he rebounded, and developed a mini crush on me.. I know its the damned hormones and stuff, and I already like another guy, so I told him that I like him as a friend and I couldn't tarehe him - it would be silly considering he's younger to me (this i didn't say).. Either ways, pretty much after this time he's been ignoring me...

Do wewe think that I should just let him be au try establishing contact with him.. 'Cause, I'd really like to remain Marafiki with him but I'm hopeless with situations like these...I'm totally unused to stuff like this.. What do wewe think I should do???
