What does it mean to have your soul split?

What does it mean to have my soul split? When I was seven(7) my soul mgawanyiko, baidisha on the full moon of my birthday(in other words, a full moon on my birthday) I felt something being ripped out of me,then ripped apart, then placed back into me,and from then on, I have had "two people" so to speak, living within me. Is this a psychological thing,or is this a spiritual thing?
