The story is about two kids who get trapped in an alternate reality, and the second cover is meant to be the crazy crap that one of the characters sees while in a portal to the other dimension. The first is just...I dunno. I like both, and I'm not sure which one to use :/

^ I would have chosen the current one but after reading your comment, I feel that this one fits more. It is much more symbolic. Also, I believe the current one would be better if both of the kids were depicted in front of the portal. It would have added more balance !!!!

I kinda like the first cover option because, going by your description, it helps reflect the mood of the story. I'm not really sure what genre the story is supposed to be or what else happens in it, though.
