I think they were both her loves - Angel and Spike. I don't really believe in one soul mate so that's why I'd choose both, if I could.

I think the episode wherein he tried to kill himself, she tried to stop him but in the end it started to snow so the sun didn't show... I can't remember its title...anyway, that episode pretty much summs up all the reasons why it is Angel. At least from Buffy's point of view it seems.

With Riley it seemed to be more from his side and with Spike it was darker and more sexual and in some way he too was her soul mate but her true love evidently was Angel, and I think Angel was also a soulmate in more aspects than Spike.

i think angel is her true love but i think spike loves her more and is better for her..one reason is they can have sex and the next day spike wnt try to kill her :)
