Selena Gomez Reveals If She’d Date Zayn Malik

Now, it seems our reigning queen has a thing or two to say about the king — including whether or not a Zelena pairing is in our midst.

Inside, the 23-year-old opens up about the trials and tribulations of dating, admitting she sometimes feels self-conscious about looking younger than she is.

“I hate it. It’s hard and I’m weirded out by the idea that a guy has googled me before we meet, and that has happened,” she said, adding, “I feel like I look 16 sometimes, which is a bummer because I would love to date older guys.”

Indeed, Sel’s ex Justin Bieber is two years younger than her, but one dude who narrows that age gap a tiny bit? Zayn, the 22-year-old former One Directioner who recently caused a frenzy with a certain mag cover of his own.

When conversation turned to the fledging solo artist, Selena revealed what would happen if Zayn were to ask her out.

“If he had asked me out on a date, I would be seen with him,” she said. “Just kidding, but not kidding.”

Soooo… that means she’d totally date him, right?! She previously said in August that there was nothing “weird” about him following her on Twitter (which some fans thought was an overt flirt move), but now it sounds like she might actually be down to date Z if he asked — and if those Zayn-Gigi Hadid rumors aren’t true.

One confidant whom Selena undoubtedly turns to for guy advice is Taylor Swift, whom Sel says has a great outlook on dealing with regrets.

“I’ll be like, ‘I think I totally screwed up,’ but Taylor says, ‘Actually, you didn’t’ and shows me how to make my mistakes into something great,” she said, adding that she’d like to clarify what “girl time” really entails for them. “People have this fantasy that we’re in our underwear, having pillow fights. We just play good music — sometimes live — and eat, and hang out.”
