This is the Institute in Brooklyn. It is an old gothic cathedral that is run by the Lightwoods. The Lightwoods live in the Institute full time but others can live there if they are approved to by the Lightwoods. Only Shadowhunters can open the doors.

A small stream of blood trickled down his face: the blade had sliced his ear. "You....You almost...killed me," he said quietly, not budging and his eyes not shrinking.

Elizabeth hurried over to the bathroom and brought him two rags; one wet and the other dry.

Elain moaned and kissed him harder.

Fallax grabbed the wet one first. He wiped off the blood from his face and cleaned off his ear. A large slice was visible from the bottom of the tip up towards he center and stopping midway to his head. He then grabbed the dry one and wrapped it around his wound.

Elain knotted her fingers in his hair and matched his hunger.

Fallax remained silent. He held his hand around the rag on the wound to keep pressure and stood up.

Fallax walked over and sat back on the side of the bed. He had his head hung low and his ears were drooped.

Elizabeth walked back to the bed, setting the alcohol and gauze beside him and folding her hands on her lap, looking down.

Fallax looked over at the supplies and grabbed the bottle. He unwrapped his ear and poured some alcohol on the rag. Wiping off the blood and cleaning the wound, he grimaced slightly from the sting of the alcohol.

He put the top back on the alcohol and handed it and the excess wrappings to her. "Thanks," he said lowly.
