i'm the same way when it comes to a big crowd, but once wewe start imba its like no one is there and wewe are imba your moyo out and when wewe finish its like, WHOA I CAN'T BELIEVE I JUST DID THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was like that 2,i just started imba a little bit around people at work and sometimes they would complement me on my imba and sometimes they would jiunge in and sing with me if it was a song they knew.you just have to break yourself in slowly, singing a little bit here and a little bit there.
Trust me, it starts out like that. When I used to perform solos as a kid, the first time I ever did it was the most nerve wracking experience ever. On auditioning siku i was shaking like crazy, but that was because I was alone in a room of all men. But when wewe are in front of a huge croud like in an auditorium, as soon as wewe start, wewe start and the whole experience feels blurry. wewe don't remember a thing until wewe are done, then wewe are just like "DID I REALLY JUST DO THAT?". It's what happened to me. I actually got to carried away shivering back stage that the MC had to call me after she announced my name again.
My main advice, don't tell yourself don't be nervous. It's actually scientifically proven that when wewe tell yourself don't be nervous wewe become zaidi nervous. Just take a deep breath and say "if wewe are nervous, that's fine, everyone get's nervous" I swear it works!
I don’t tell anyone I’m nervous. I let my mind go blank as I walk out. I don’t allow myself to think it nor feel it au anything au else I get super nervous. Then I’m a lot less nervous. Lol. I can’t get rid of it completely even though my job is public speaking and I’m never nervous there.
