Terence Stamp as General Zod in Superman II

I actually liked Zod a lot zaidi during and after this episode, Conspiracy. Before this ep, whenever there was Zod screentime I would usually say "Oh brother!" I didn't really like how Callum Blue plays Zod, upping the drama and decorum of speech. I would think, "bah this is Smallville, not Shakespeare." He's no Terence Stamp, who I found to be much scarier because of his excellent use of subtlety. ¯\(º_o)/¯

However, something changed in me this episode. We saw a different side to Zod. And somehow, his method of uigizaji fit better with these new facets.

Zod learns about humanity

When Zod died, I was thinking "Wow, could this really be the end for him already? That will really change things. And just when I was starting to like the guy!!" It was great how Zod told Lois to leave him and save herself and the girl. And how Lois alisema she was helping him because it's what Clark would do.

I'm glad Clark saved him, not for Zod's sake, but for Clark's. To be Superman, he has to try to save people, no matter who they are. It's integral to his identity. It's what makes him the hero he is.

When Clark's drop of blood healed Zod's wound, after I gasped, I leaned over to my mom (who is a huge shabiki of the show) and alisema "you think he has powers now?" Well boy-o-boy ! He does. I was pretty excited at the end when he climbed up to the edge of the tower and took flight, not the least reason being that I had called it XD

Faith-Rulz nice :) well callum blue and terence stamp will obivously play Zod alot different to other which for me makes zod look fresh and gives him an edge...sometimes i wonder if zod is all bad...cuz he had to start out as a good guy to begin with and corrupted somewhere inbetween...didnt he lose his son at one point back in krypton?

J-C Zod is really growing on me too. And I did feel a bit sad when he "died". I like how he has his powers back and that Clark doesn't know, that should add a good twist! LoL about the Shakespeare thing. Is he from Krypton or London? ;)

Dayli Zod lost his son i think thats why he is bad now...

Smallville: Season 9, Episode 17 'Upgrade' Review

Usually moments where Clark and Lois are alone together, I would be close to the televisheni screen just trying to listen to every word in detail. Yet before this kitanda scene in 'Upgrade', we had Lois falling down a steep hole and waking up in a kitanda inayofuata to Clark the following day. Some eyebrows definitely rose then. I kept thinking about Metallo and how freaky it was that he knew where Lois lived and he possibly dropped her off in her bed(?). The inayofuata thought that crossed my mind, when things mellowed down and I grew accustomed to Clark's arms around Lois and his lips on her cheek, was how exclusive...
