Yes, and I believe she did love Spike. Angel was her first love and she'll never forget it. But Spike was her true love. :) And I think when she said "I love you" in the cavern she truly meant it. and I think Spike knew it, but he denied she did cause he didn't want her to live with the guilt of him dying. He left her slightly confused. :) That's what I think.

And anyway, she used the past tense of the word, loved, meaning she use to and doesn't any longer. And there is no way she loved Angel more than she loved Dawn, so that points moot.

And Angel wasn't the chosen one, Spike was, because Buffy choose him as her champion, not Angel. She sent Angel away and spent what could be her last nights on earth in Spike's arms.

And the cookies was Buffy saying that she wasn't ready for a relationship with anyone, meaning Angel wasn't getting any cookies. And Angel was completely out of character in Chosen since he was in love with Cordelia, and no longer wanted Buffy.

Also, SMG recently choose Spike over Angel for Buffy, and Joss said that Buffy meant the I Love you in Chosen, so yes Buffy did love Spike.

ANGEL WAS NOT IN LOVE WITH CORDELIA! it was just a stupid little fling! i ahted that relationship..grr. anyways, i think that angel was the chosen one, and im not being blind just because im a bangel fan, i truly think that he was the chosen one. and the cookies thing, spike wasnt gettin any either...
Buffy with always be a part of me and that's never going to chnge- Angel; and it was Buffy's decision to move on in the first place. yes angel broke up with her in the sewers and that was sad, but he did it for her and her mother. Her mom told him that shes a teenager in love and sometimes cant think straight and he may to do that for her. He did the right thing though. And, all the guys she has dated didnt have past like Angel's, so you cant judge him by that. Angel always wanted to at least make things right, yoko factor, for instance. he was always on good terms with her and the gang.
but, the thing i didnt like about buffy was that she would bring up her new boyfriends and wave it in his face, and that i think is hurtful. yeah, hes caused her alot of pain but so has she. they both did things to each other, but theyve forgiven each other for it.
the point is, they made the "breaking up" and "dnt see each other" desicion was made by both of them. but, when she was in trouble or needed a friend, he was usually there. her mother's death, her return.... stuff lik that. Hes always there for her. and she wasnt always there for him, but she still cared for him. and when people say she moved on, she moved on past both angel and spike to the IMMORTAL! remember rome? yeah, so spuffy fans cant say she only moved on past angel.... lol

Well, actually she wasn't with the Immortal. That was a decoy. And well, Buffy didn't know Spike was alive, so it doesn't hurt out ship.

And Angel was in love with Cordelia, he says that. He says that a lot.

And Angel is not always there for her. How come he's always busy when she's having an apocalypse? He's not there for her.

I think Buffy definately loved Spike, but I think she is too old and jaded to ever love someone as much as the blind love she had for Angel.

No I think Angel was her first true love and you never forget them or love anyone else as much.She could have loved spike but I doubt it was like she did Angel.

I think she loved him more than she loved Angel.I think in the end she realised that Spike was the most important person in her life(besides Dawn) that was always there for her nad will always love her no matter what.And Angel loved Cordy he even said he was lost whitout her so please Bangels don't ignore Cordy.

I think she'll love each in a different amount. But I'm pretty certain she loved Angel more than Spike... it pains me to say that a Spuffy fan. I guess in the end I'm satisfied that she was finally able to get to part of herself where she did actually love Spike... and that's good enough for me. :)

Well if she loved Angel more than Spike than she would have chosen him to spent her maybe last days on Earth whith him and would have chosen him for her champion but she choose Spike. She didn't even told Angel she loved him and after he took Wolfram and Heart she didn't trust him .She could have gone and be whit Angel after the Hellmouth was close but she didn't.In the end she told Angel''years if ever'' which is if you ask me out of pitty considering that Angel was in love whit Cordy and Buffy told Spike she loved him.So yeah she loved Spike more than Angel.

I think she loves Spike more than Angel...she just doesn't know it. Their love runs so much deeper and is more complex. It's built on much more.

I believe that she already does love Spike more than she loved Angel because when she loved Angel she was let's face it a kid her and Angel obviously had deep feeling for each other but she was young and not really mature enough to understand the concept and the pain of love!

yes she did she outgrew angel and angel was her first love but spike her mature love, she never believed in angel like did spike or trusted him, she pretty much chose spike over angel in season and told spike she loved him and their hand clasped on fire= soulmates
