Taylor Swift And Calvin Harris Knock Beyonce And Jay-Z Off The Top Spot To Become The Highest-Paid Celebrity Couple
Beyoncé and Jay-Z, there’s a new highest-earning celebrity couple in town and they go by the names of Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris.
Yep, Talvin have dethroned Queen Bey and her husband from their two years of sitting pretty at the top of Forbes’ annual list, and we can only assume we’ll be invited to the Princess Diaries-esque coronation.
Meanwhile, we’re still getting excited when we find an odd pound in an old coat pocket. Simple pleasures, eh?
Despite only being a couple for a matter of months, it’s been estimated that Talvin’s paycheck came to around $146 MILLION over the past year, shaking off Bey-Z’s measley earnings of just $110.5m for the same time period.
Both couples have a plethora of endorsement deals to help boost their annual income (which this list is solely calculated on, for the first time ever), and both have built their own crazy-successful kingdoms.
Tay, 25, for example, has deals with Sony and Keds, while her 31-year-old man has contracts with Giorgio Armani and Sol Republic.
Oh, and there was also the small matter of Swifty’s ‘1989’ selling a casual 1.287 million copies in one week, and the secondary price of her current tour tickets averaging $315.41.
On Bey-Z’s side, their joint \'On The Run’ tour was the fifth highest grossing excursion of last year, and Jay, 45, has his own entertainment company Roc Nation.
Bey, 33, has her very own fragrance line, and also has endorsement deals with Pepsi and H&M.
Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are bringing up the third place spot, with a joint earning of $57million, with both enjoying a successful year in music, and Miranda also earning through non-musical ventures.
It’s been quite the week for Taylor, who successfully managed to persuade Apple Music to pay artists their royalties during its three-month free trial.
Now, she’s revealed that thanks to Apple listening to her and taking action, she WILL stream her latest album via their service.
