I remember visiting this website once...
It was called TCA: Arrow and The Flash suit up - The TV Junkies
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
PASADENA, Calif. — Marvel may be owning the big screen, but on TV it’s all about DC. A giant panel of heroes and villains assembled in Pasadena at the 2015 Television Critics Association winter press tour, and boy, was it a good-looking bunch of people!
Greg Berlanti, and Andrew Keisberg (the latter two whom also serve as EPs on
Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, Colton Haynes, David Ramsay, John Barrowman, Brandon Routh, Matt Nable, Grant Gustin, Tom Cavanagh, Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Robbie Amell and Victor Garber were on hand to answer all our pressing questions about their show.
1. Never say never about another DC universe spin-off
With an abundance of vigilantes running around Starling City and the huge success of
this fall, it only makes sense that there’s chatter about another spin-off in the DC TV universe. So will Ray Palmer’s soon-to-be-revealed Atom be the next headliner? “We’re in very early talks on a very general idea. We’re not allowed to say anything about it,” dished EP Greg Berlanti.
Everyone wants to know who was actually IN that suit, so it’s no surprise that reporters asked the question very quickly into the session. Or that they targeted Cavanagh for an answer. “I’m the reverse Flash,” Cavanagh revealed in a deep, “dah, dah, dah” voice on the panel.
Like it’s going to be that simple. Thankfully, The CW also gave us a nice closeup of the suit outside of the ballroom on Sunday. You know, so we can all keep speculating.
3. Laurel’s Black Canary mask has her between a rock and a hard place.
It’s no secret that to avenge the death of her sister, Laurel’s taking up her mask to join the vigilante brigade. But what does that mean for her relationship with daddy dearest, Detective Lance, who still thinks Sarah’s alive, well and fighting crime? “It puts Laurel in a really difficult, tough position. Being Laurel and Lance being aware that Black Canary is back on the street. He’s going to Laurel and saying ‘how can I get a hold of your sister?’ She doesn’t know how to tell him. what to tell him,” revealed Cassidy during a post-panel scrum. She added, it won’t be Oliver or Team Arrow members that she runs to for help. “She actually goes to Nissa to get advice and asks her what she thinks. But what she decides to do…?”
reunion with Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell will be epic to anyone who has ever owned a television set, but it will be most epic for one person in particular: “My kids think it’s the coolest thing I’ve ever done in my f—ing life,” Purcell revealed. A nice shift in enthusiasm, considering he also told the panel he wasn’t “sitting at home going, ‘I want to do
With the overwhelming “Olicity” shipping that’s occurred on social media, it seemed like their collective efforts were willing any intimate moment with Oliver and Felicity into existence. Were the EPs just going with what the fans were tweeting for? Or was romance always in the cards for Ollie and Felicity? “When we started there was no Felicity. Stephen and Emily had this very natural chemistry that we started writing towards. There wasn’t this grand plan to get these two characters together,” said Guggenheim. “It’s great that the fans on Twitter have embraced that relationship but we chart our own course.” And that course is not going to be celebrated by Olicity fans. “There’s a scene at the end of episode 12, it’s Emily’s strongest performance on the show,” Guggenheim said adding that he’ll have to get off Twitter due to all the discourse a few moments will bring.
By now most fans probably know that Gustin has a Superman tattoo. The star has been open about the fact that he loves the hero, and has even revealed that growing up he watched
But as most people with tattoos know, it’s kind of an addictive process. In the scrum afterwards, Gustin confirmed to
that even though he’s been inked four times, he will indeed get a
“Geoff Johns designed it for me,” he said, referring to the D.C. Comics mastermind. “I added some elements. It’s the emblem.”
In perhaps the most non-surprising but celebratory news of the day, The CW confirmed that both
