I think this is my favourite song in the whole Lion King franchise - it has such an interesting melody and I love how atmospheric it is in the movie too! I also love Be Prepared (and, come to think of it, most of the songs in the first and second movies) but I'd probably consider My Lullaby to be my favourite overall.

Yeah, Be Prapared is great but...My Lullaby's lyrics are so much darker as in the whole message of the song. It's downright psychotic and merciless, and kind of centers around tuening an innocent child into a killer through brainwashing. Be Prepared is just talking about stealing the crown in general. At least I don't recall it including anything more specific...If it was taken out of context the listener would not know the singing character is capable of such deep cruelty and coldness as Scar is.

And yeah, the visual aspect and atmosphere in the My Lullaby scene is also over-all stronger. I absolutely love the hellish atmosphere and the huge pack of Nazi marching hyenas, but Zira's performance includes more than just bouncing around and somehow I find her more threatning than a pack of hyenas. Though, that might be partly because the main trio wasn't a very threatning group on its own but only when they were chasing the little lion cubs... :D
