Was Mellini psychic?



In the episode "Smoke and Mirrors", Mellini is the washed up mentalist who is suspected for the murder of another magician.
Throughout his interrogation, he makes guesses that turn out to be startlingly accurate. This seems to go beyond interpreting minuscule social cues. Mellini even infers Toby's abandonment kwa his mother just kwa looking.
Toby alisema " That was intense. Being inside of his head while he was inside of mine.I could see him looking at me."
It seems like Mellini really can read minds, but to a lesser extent than Toby. Since he expressed skepticism when Toby confessed to being psychic, he might not even be aware of his au anyone's abilities, just chalking it up to be good at kusoma people

I appreciate your take on it, but stress can be visible, but being abandoned kwa his mother is too specific to detect.

Yes it does seem like mind reader because he knew Toby was abandoned kwa his mother but he also would have known how Toby knew stuff like the color boots he was wearing on a specific night therefore not needing to ask Toby what his secret was.
