“Hey.” wewe smile, turning your head to kiss him.
“Miss me?” Ponyboy asks.
“Of course. I haven’t seen wewe in awhile.”
“I know. I just don’t want your mom and dad to get suspicious, wewe going to the wrong side of the tracks and all.” He mutters, just holding you.
“I know.” wewe mutter. “I wish it didn’t have to be this way.”
“Don’t wewe think I do too?” He says, holding wewe a bit tighter.
“I know wewe do.” wewe whisper.
“I don’t know what I’d do without you. I regret everything that happened when I first walked out. I thought it’d be better for both of us. But I was wrong.” He mumbled into your shoulder.
“I can’t wait till I’m 18. They won’t be able to tell me what to do. And I can have you.”
“And you’ll be mine.” He smiles.
“Love me forever?”
“And always.”
“Johnny?” wewe ask. wewe were sitting on his lap in the lot.
“Yeah?” He asks, absentmindedly playing with your hair.
“Would wewe ever leave me?” wewe whisper.
He sorta turns your body to face him. wewe see the emotions in his eyes.
“I would never, ever leave you, until the siku I die. Even if wewe ended up with someone else, I’d still always be here. I’d catch wewe when wewe fall. Not only catch you, but put wewe back up where wewe started and help wewe along the way. I would never leave you, even in a burning building. I upendo you.”
