I don't hate it I just don't like it. This season has ruined Delena and Damon I don't even care if Damon dies for good anymore. I only really liked the first episode with Rebekah. I might not even watch season 6.

I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. It's kind of all over the place, every 5 episodes there's new villain, new characters, new mythology, it's so messy. I also agree with the above comment about Damon/Delena, but that is my problem since S4, I still like them, just not nearly as much as in the first 3 seasons. Basically I think Steroline is the only thing I REALLY LOVE this season, the rest is just ok.

This season is so messy,and all the characters have lost their real personality. Seriously,this is the worst season. So many messy plots,it's annoying...

Umm, at least from episode 17 onwards. Don't like the Petrovas so it has been good to see storylines revolving around other characters

So... first I hate the chapter thing they did, feels like they can't develop a good storyline so they just invent other. They have a storyline for like 7 episodes and then all the new characters die.. (ex. Silas, Amara, Tessa, Katherine, Nadia, Wes...)
They totally ruined every character! The good old selfless Elena is long gone, Damon lost interest (at least for me), Bonnie and Jeremy are annoying because they have always the same conversations and they don't show up a lot, Tyler and Matt are useless, Stefan and Caroline were actually interesting.
Katherine is gone! One of my all time favorite villains is gone! She was the most interesting thing for me this season.
I miss the old frienship between Stefan and Damon.
I thought Damon and Elena dating was annoying, but after their break-up everything got worse. They keep having the same talks only to end up kissing or having sex, seriously either get them together or drop it for a while.
Damon used to be so awesome, shuch an intriguing character, but now he lost what made him special, yes, he has funny lines, but he no longer has the interest he once had (plus, that imitation of the old Damon when Katherine/Elena broke up with him, was just lame, suddenly he forgets everything he changed for her and goes on a murdering spree?)
And well, this is my opinion about this season...

I dropped watching it after 2 episodes. The writing got so awful & storylines so silly& messy I couldn't stand it. My time is just too precious... I keep watching the promos & basically after every single one I'm more & more sure there's is no point in giving this season another chance...

It's the worst season yet! The writing has gotten so sloppy and I really hate the fact that Elena could care less that Damon killed one of her friends and attempted to kill her brother and didn't bat an eye and got back with him again. Who does that??? Bonnie has been practically invisible and had no real purpose this season which is sad because she's such a great character and i loved her in season four. I wish they would stop bringing in so many new characters only to kill them all off in a couple of episodes what's the point? Why not use the characters you already have to create new story lines? I really dislike Elena and Damon both. The only characters I still really love and care about our Caroline, Stefan, Bonnie and Matt. I could really care less about Tyler, Elena, Damon, and Jeremy. Now I'm never been a big fan of Tyler, Damon, or Jeremy but I used to really like Elena and now I pretty much can't stand her. She's whiny, selfish, indecisive, and overall weak and annoying. I miss the season one and two Elena. She was great and they killed her. I really love Stefan and Caroline's friendship, it's basically the best part of this whole season. I miss when Elena, Bonnie and Caroline used to be close and hang out they've barely spent any time together this season. Once they got Bonnie back they haven't even bothered to spend time with her.

I didn't like the beginning of the season at all. All the Silas/Tessa/Amara stuff was really confusing.
I thought the Augustine chapter was interesting.
I have mixed feelings about the Katherine storyline. In some ways I liked it, and in some ways I didn't.
The traveler storyline is also confusing, but I think the end of the season is really good, especially compared to the beginning of the season.
So yeah, it's not my favorite season, but the last couple episodes have saved it.
Also unpopular opinion - I loved Elena this season.
