“Check Yo Self” by Ice Cube & Das EFX: Plays at the beginning, when Bon Bon whips up a delicious breakfast for herself and wishes herself a very lonely

birthday. It also plays as Jeremy lifts weights and Elena barges into the Salvatore boarding house with party supplies.

“Keep Going” by Rachael Yamagata: Plays when Stefan consoles a tear-eyed Caroline with a hug and Bonnie pours herself a glass of vintage bourbon. After a few sips, she breaks down in tears and cuts herself off.

“Time” by Mikky Ekko: Plays during the end montage, including when Elena tells Damon that despite the constant supernatural mayhem in their lives, they always find their way back to each other. They then kiss, end up having sex, and spend the rest of the evening in bed, wrapped up in each other’s arm.
