I am that one who sleeps away
I am the one who spends the night …
reaching his dreams kwa counting the stars…
I am that one who carries his sadness on his back

I’m not sad…
but inside of me there’s a country crying
There’s a thirsty land
And there’s a fear of losing what I’ve never had…

Every night I talk to the sky …
hope I find wewe up there someday…

call my name once
and see what will I do

I am here in the mess alone
Trying to find the pieces of my mind
I’ve Lost everything
And now I am losing myself

I want wewe to come and protect me from that loss
You are the one who can find me…...

I crept in through the front door of the old house I call home. “Mom?” I called.
    No answer.
    “Mom?” I repeated. “Moooom?”
I heard footsteps, then my mother peeked out from behind a heavy oaken door. She was dressed in a white sheet that she had wrapped around her chest. It came down to her feet, which were bare except for the thin golden chains she had Tangled around her left foot. She had a washcloth pinned in her hair.
“Mom?” I asked. “What are wewe wearing?”
    “Oh,...

I held my breath. I adjusted my goggles. I tightened my black swim cap. I got onto the diving board, slowly and cautiously. I loosened my body before my big dive.
The timers got their stopwatches. A voice came over the speakers.
"Swimmers, get ready," I shook my body. "Set," I relaxed and thought of the pure heaven as I would dive, and break the surface. The moment I was waiting for would soon come. And...it did. "GO!!!"
The crowd roared. We were off to a quick start, I supposed. I thought of nothing but fire, fire, and only fire. I moved my arms in blind fury. I kicked my feet like I was...

This a short poem I came up with. I'm not a descriptive person. I prefer just simple words in poems. This deals with the term, "Looking behind the smile." This is inspired kwa a friend and mine's life experiences. Enjoy :)

Gone: a poem

She sat alone
in the corner of the room.
She didn't speak
she would merely loom.
Like she was a shadow
an invisible ghost.
No one gave
a damn at the most.

She would sit there
and simply stare
looking at those
who ignored her.
No one looked
at her twice
no one bothered
when she was nice.

She was a nobody,
forgotten kwa all.
Her ever-blank stares
directed at the bare, empty wall....

she spend all the night thinking ,she doesn't want to marry cause she knows what will happened to her if she married Mac ,she could face the same fate that her mother faced from long time zamani ,but she doesn't want David to die ,she loved her father in a way that she could do anything to save his life ,he's the last member and the only person who left in the family
it could be a big sacrifice with any decision ,but she has to choose

Kat opened her eyes ,and raised her head ,she know that she slept on the ground and now she's late for her work
she walked fast towards her room ,and took something...

Chapter One: A Big Difference Between Normal and Reality

"Well, maybe if wewe didn't yell so much then I would try to listen to you!" I gave Christina a dangerous stare that sometimes made her back off but not today. Today she had one too many to drink and decided to stand her ground. She knew what I was capable of but still she remained focus on me. "Then wewe think wewe could just stand here and pretend wewe actually upendo my father!"
Her bright grey eyes gleamed a little, almost like she was hurt kwa what I said. "I do upendo him but wewe are too conceited to realize the...

I flinched before he hit me I could already feel the nails from the ukanda on my skin exactly where he'd hit before he really did. He hit that same spot at least five times—it was right above my butt bone.

I cried out in pain as he went up and down my spinal cord with the ukanda he moved it to my arms that clinged to the juu of the heater. Tears poured out of my eyes "Dad stop please dad!!" He whipped me harder saying "What did I tell wewe all about calling me Dad I'm your master wewe little runt!!" he changed to the other arm and and gave me a fine blow to the left jaw bone I fell on my back...

Together, at last,
We sing in unison,
As the eagles zoom past us,
Symbolizing true freedom now.

We are together,
Not just our country,
But all the countries of the universe,
Syria, China, Germany,
Russia, Canada, Brazil,
And, of course, the United States.

I have never experienced
Such an amazing feeling
In my whole life,
As the soldiers of the universe
March past,
We are in utmost glory.

The unity of the universe,
We behold right now.
Never again, we shall quarrel,
Fighting with our steel rifles.

We will be free,
Not just blacks,
But all of us,
Together, at last.

We will be equal,
Women and men,
And we shall work together,...

"Evangeline! It's time to get up!" Mom called from the hallway. I grumbled and pulled the blanket over my head. Just five zaidi minutes... five zaidi hours would be nice...

"Evan," my older brother Joshua poked his head into my room. "Didn't wewe hear Mom? wewe need to get up." I growled at him.

"Get out," I squeezed my eyes shut tighter.

“Kayden!” Sebastian-my band’s manager-had a look of dismay on his simple features. I couldn’t hear him, but I could read his lips. Anyone who knew me knew to get my attention before they spoke.
“What?” I asked. Though I’d been deaf since I was five I knew how to speak as well as anyone with full hearing.
“You still haven’t made your set list,” he stated, his face screwed up into a frown. “The first performance is tomorrow night.”
    “I’ll have it finished...

    Case 21
“Wow, that was just supplicating,” Sage sighed. “Another year, a whole new drama.”
“Don’t think of it like that,” I told her, not wanting her to spoil my good mood. “Meredith’s gone.”
Sage rolled her eyes. “And there’s many other Queen b’s that have been dying to take her place.”
I groaned. “Hopefully there’ll be too conceited to pay attention to us.”
Yes, we were still in this suffocating...

This was Talow's first mission, find the lab and take anything useful. He was geared up with his new group, battalion V35. Luca had done some sweet talking to his general which allowed Talow to be put with them instead of some other scouting group. When they had gotten to Nindell they hadn't stopped to allow for sightseeing so this would be his first chance to see what the war had done to the once pristine city.
“You ready to go?” Luca appeared behind Talow with his own gear in place and his badge shining on his breast. The rest of the battalion was behind him, along with the few boys Talow...
