Hey, guys. Sorry I didn't post a chapter for a while. The power's off at my house, so I can't get on the internet. I'm at the maktaba right now; it's got Wi-Fi. Hope wewe guys enjoy this chapter! It's from Quin's point of view.

“Are wewe sure it was Ryker?” Zoë asked. Tears were streaming down her cheeks. She was obviously even zaidi upset that Ryker was smoking than when she thought it was Travis.
I nodded. “Who else wears old hiking boots every day? I wish it wasn’t him, though. I wish that there was some way to make it have been someone else.”
We were hurrying down the hall to the office. To ripoti Ryker. Lisa was in the front, walking backwards. She was facing the rest of us, her brow wrinkled with concern. I was behind her—well, since she was walking backwards, I was in front of her. Zoë was behind me. She was walking with her head down and her arms crossed. Her eyes were red from crying. A few feet apart from the rest of us, bringing up the rear, was Fawn. She looked unsure, like she wasn’t certain that she should be with us. Ash wasn’t there, he was still with Tonia.
Lisa beckoned to Fawn. “C’mon,” she said.
Fawn quickened her stride until she caught up to us. kwa now we were in front of the office. Lisa turned around and walked in. The rest of us followed.
Travis was in the small waiting room at the front of the office, sitting in a burgundy, uncomfortable-looking loveseat. He looked up as we came in.
Lisa ignored him and walked into the main office, up to the desk. “Excuse me?” she asked the secretary.
The secretary, Miss Simmons, looked up. “Yes? What is it?”
“We figured out who was smoking. It’s not Travis.”
“Who was it, then?”
Lisa gulped a little. “It was…it was Ryker. Ryker Fargo.”
“Okay, we’ll call him up to the office and have the test done on him, too. We’re going to have to do it on Travis as well, though.” Miss Simmons turned on the loudspeakers. “Ryker Fargo, please ripoti to the office; Ryker Fargo.”
Zoë made a sound like she was choking. Miss Simmons looked up.
“Why are wewe still here? Go on.” Miss Simmons waved her hand impatiently. We hurried out of the office and into the hall.
“Let’s go to lunch. I don’t want to be here when Ryker comes,” fawn said. We nodded and headed back to the cafeteria.
No one ate. We just stared down at our hands, listening to the buzz of the cafeteria and the occasional sniff from Zoë.
Finally Lisa looked up from the spot she had been staring at on the table. “Why are we so upset about this?” she asked. “It’s not like he’s doing crack au anything.”
“It’s not what he did, it’s what we did,” Zoë said. “Maybe he’ll hate us for reporting him. Maybe he’ll—”
“Zoë, he doesn’t know who reported him,” Lisa said, “and I doubt he’d hate us anyway. Just calm down a little, okay?”
Zoë banged her fist down on the table. I jumped. “No!” Zoë shouted. “No, I will not calm down! I just found out one of my best Marafiki is smoking, and wewe tell me to calm down? Really? Well, wewe know what Lisa? wewe don’t need to calm down, wewe need to—”
“Zoë!” I cut her off mid-sentence, realizing that every person near enough to hear was staring at her.
Zoë’s lip trembled, and she burst into tears again. A few people looked away, the others just looked zaidi intrigued.
Lisa scowled at them. They looked away. Lisa turned back to Zoë.
“Hey, Zoë?” she asked.
“What?”
“You mad?”
Zoë sniffed again. “No. Sorry I got angry. I’m just upset.”
Lisa nodded. She poked at a chicken nugget, picked it up, put it back down, picked it up again.
“It’s okay, Zoë. To be upset. I am, too,” Lisa said. She put down the chicken nugget.
“I know.”
Lisa picked up a different chicken nugget. Suddenly fawn stood up. There were tears in her eyes.
“Why would he do that?” She practically shouted the words. Lisa dropped the chicken nugget, startled.
“Do what?” I asked.
“Blame it Travis. Get someone else in trouble just so he wouldn’t. What a jerk.” She spun on her heel and marched away from the table.
“Where are wewe going?” Lisa called after her.
“To find Ryker.”
Lisa jumped up and grabbed her shoulder. “He’s in the office.”
“You seriously think he went to the office when his name was called?” fawn asked.
“Well…no, not really,” Lisa admitted. “But what are wewe doing?”
“I’m gonna go tell him what I think about him!”
I noticed the people staring again. “Hey, guys? How about wewe keep your voices down,” I whispered. fawn glared at me, but Lisa nodded. “Okay. Fawn? I thought wewe liked him,” I said.
Fawn bit her lip. “Not anymore.”
“Because he told a lie about someone wewe don’t know? I mean, maybe he had his reasons,” I said.
“Why are wewe standing up for him?” fawn snapped.
“He’s my friend.”
“He’s an ass!” fawn shouted. “A motherfu—”
“Keep it down,” I hissed. “Do wewe want everyone to hear wewe cussing?”
Fawn realized how many people were staring at her and quickly stopped shouting, turned, and headed for the cafeteria door.
“He’s gonna beat the shit out of her!” Zoë alisema worriedly.
Lisa sat down at the table. “She’s tough.”
“So’s Ryker,” I reminded her.
“She’s tough,” Lisa repeated. “She’ll be okay.”
(Sorry, Emzy, for making fawn cuss a little in this. Hope wewe don't mind.)
