If i never fall in love, then i will never have a broken heart. This was my kauli mbiu fo rmost of my life. I followed it faithfully utnil not. I think that i broke the only rule that i ever had.
It was summertime; I was forced to go on fthe family vacation to London. I wanted to stay nyumbani and quietly work on my novel. My Aunt Tracey, however, persuaded me into going.
I had the pleasure of riding with my cousin, Louis, and her five hcildren. Two of her kids were barely on. Imagine my joy once I found out the arrangements.
London was a sight ot see. The marvelous structures and exotic people made me long fo rmy home. I felt so out of place here. Everyone appeared so sophisticated and youthful. I am glad that I was able to see all of this. Maybe a little less glad with who my company was that I came with.
"Now, Caroline," alisema my Aunt Tracey. "After wewe settle in your hotel room, make sure to go to the cafe down the street. We are all metting there to start our tour."
"Okay," I replied.
My room was small yet comfortable and affordable. I a few hours to myself so I took a shower, washed my hair, and ahd a nap.
When i was done, I came out smelling like a strawberry. Lost int he scent of my own hair, I ran into a young man. He was someone who had to work in the hotel. I could tell kwa his uniform.
"Excuse me , miss," he alisema politely before walking away. I didn't give him a sekunde thought because I was ruled kwa my motto.
The tour was long and boring; this is coming from a history freak. The tour guid did not acare about any of it and she was confusing her dates. She did accomplish on gettingthe two babies to go to sleep. That deserves an award.
My sister, Claudia, came late and had to share my room. I was perfectly okay with that because we got along wll. We got to the front dawati to check Claudia in. The guy there was the same one I collided with earlier.
"Welcome, Ladies. How may I help?" He seem to ignore me and stare at my sister. Claudia was unnaturally pretty.
"I need a key," alisema Claudia as she flirted with her eyes. "I am staying with her."
"Oh, okay, go to Renee," he suggest. "She will help." I was about to folow before he told me to wait.
"Hey," he greeted.
"Hi," i alisema politely. Where did Claudia go? I hope she hurries back.
"Well, what is your name?"
"Carolina and I usually don't conversait with strangers."
He winked,"I'm not strange. Just trying to make conversation."
"What about you? What's your name?"
"Tyler, now wewe can't say I am a stranger. wewe knowmy name. We could know zaidi about each other over dinner, tonight."
I didn't get a chance to reply before Claudia grabbed my hand and dragged me ot our room. She was excited to see the room, i guess.
For the inayofuata couple of days, I received flowers, chococaltes, matunda baskets, and a designer dress. I twas all from Tyler. Soon, I started taling to him zaidi and more. He was funny and kind and a true animal lover.
Our family vacation was over and everyone flew back to America. I stayed behind. Days truned into weeks, weeks became months, and months were soon years. I was married and had a child.
Tyler ahd gone off ot serve in the army, a life long dream of his. He served in the American army since we both are Americans.
Unfortunately, he never came back. that was the first time I ever had my moyo broken and it was not fun. I was one hte verge of dying myself. I stayed alive for my kid, Bryce. Maybe one siku my moyo will reattach.
And till this siku i have no regrets. I loved Tyler with all of my heart. He was my everything. I think the pain is worth the joy and fun I had with Tyler before his death. I don't regret falling in love. I regrett only letting him go.
