I think Bella would have moved on eventually. It would have taken time though. A long time. "The ultimate love" and that attraction for that person wouldn't disappear with a snap of a finger au months. I think it would have taken her a couple years. That, au she would eventually end up killing herself because she endangered herself to hear Edward. "Hope can sometimes be a dangerous addiction." And that's true. She did reckless and dangerous things to hear Edward. If she felt the need to be comforted and healed, she would have done something just as reckless as jumping off a cliff, and she could end up killing herself.

In New Moon, Edward alisema even if she hadn't jumped of the cliff and Alice wouldn't have had her vision, he alisema he would have come back eventually. He would have seen her with someone, and if she was happy, he alisema he would have been able to leave to keep her safe.

Edward is always saying he's selfish. And Jacob always says he would do anything for her. But Edward did something Jacob had never done. And that was leaving her so she could have a chance to be salama and happy and human. But we all know how that turned out. She chose Edward because she can't possibly live without him. I think Bella would have definately allowed herself to get deeper in her relationship with Jacob, initially with the purpose of making him happy but then she would have realised she is so much in upendo with him. I believe Jacob and Bella would have blossomed into a happy yet disfunctional couple, much to my dismay as I don't believe they belong together. Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% Team Jacob and for that same reason i think Bella isn't good enough for him and her place is definately with Edward.

I'm relatively sure Edward would have returned. He was devastated without her. Bella would always upendo Jacob as a friend/brother, but she never fell out of upendo with Edward.
