I like Edward in the vitabu and also in the movies.
Reasons why? -He's respectful. He treats others with the utmost respect when sometimes they don't deserve it. -He's selfless. Everything he does, every fiber of him... he does it for Bella. -He's not perfect. Everyone says he is, but he's not! He makes mistakes. Just like when he "kidnapped" Bella in Eclipse and wouldn't let her see Jacob. That was a mistake. He then realized that and also that he couldn't restrict her from seeing Jacob. He didn't want his needs, his distrust for Jacob to wedge something between him and Bella. So, he let Bella have what she wanted... again.
Jacob is friendly. He's funny sometimes and a jokester. But he is also very manipulative and rude. If I wanted someone "like the sun" to hang out with, Seth would be my pick. Seth is just like Jacob, except he isn't rude.
And... I know this will already come, so I'm going to defend it! There will probably be maoni about Edward being too composed and serious. There are many times in the vitabu where Bella and Edward's relationship is light and care free. Of course, Bella ruins it when she gets too close. That's the struggle they have. That's their relationship. Whereas, Jacob and Bella's friendship is light and care free all the time. However, Bella never wanted to get close to Jacob in that sense. :)
In Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse, I absolutely hated Jake. But after watching New Moon, ohh, I upendo Jacob and I'm on the fence for who's team I'm on. So now that I'm kusoma Breaking Dawn, Edward is kinda gettin on my nerves and Jacob couldn't be zaidi sweeter. I upendo them both and I can't choose. TEAM SWITZERLAND! :D
Saw twilight and thought it was ok. Decided to read New Moon after seeing what Jacob looked like in movie New Moon...just knew I was team Jacob...but when I started reading, I fell in upendo with Edward. Read Eclipse (my favorite) and Breaking Dawn, and then finally read the first book...Cannot imagine, knowing Edward was the one she couldn't live without, ever choosing Jacob.
