This takes place after Twilight, when Alice found out some of what happened in her past, au at least what I would like to think:

It was just like any other Saturday in the town of Forks, Washington. Every weekend someone from our family would have to drive the 140 miles to Seattle to get our mail. Now I know it seems a bit strange for a family of Wanyonya damu to be getting mail, but we still have bills, magazine subscriptions, and miscellaneous mail that we get once weekly.

Unfortunately this time it was Jasper and my
turn, not that it took us the 6 hours (3 hours up and 3 hours back) that it took "normal" people to drive this distance, it's just that with everything that had gone on in the last few months, mail seemed like the least of our problems. Jasper drove the sleek black Mercedes S55 AMG that belonged to our "father" Carlisle, and at last glance we were going about 105mph which didn't bother me the least. The sooner we got there, the sooner we could head back and I could return to trying to figure out Rosalie's wardrobe.

Now to catch wewe up on our drama.....my name is Alice Cullen. I was born Mary Alice Brandon, and I was born in 1901. Yes, for those of wewe keeping track that would would make me 108 this year. I was "born" into Wanyonya damu in the 1920's when I was 19 years old. I don't remember anything from that time, but I am told this this is normal and that human memories fade over time.

I met my husband Jasper in 1949 in Philadelphia, see I have this ability to see the future and I knew that he would be coming into Roosevelt's chajio, chakula cha jioni to get out of the rain and that he would be looking for me, even if he didn't know it yet.....but that's another story for another day.

We moved in with the rest of the Cullen family in 1950, I had seen in another of my "visions" that let me know that they were where Jasper and I belong. It took quite a bit of convincing to get Jasper to see that this is where we needed to go, but honestly I believe that he would follow me anywhere....we really are meant for each other. So, when we showed up at the Cullens house and I knew them all kwa name and knew there personalities, and traits it was quite a shock for all of them, especially since Emmett and Edward were out hunting at the time. I quickly explained Jasper and I to them all and assured them that we didn't mean any harm, but knew that we would all be together and that we would need each other for many things in the future.

The only problem with my new family is that they are "vegetarians," I had no problems going to their way of life because it seemed to make sense. Jasper on the other hand had a zaidi difficult time switching to the animal based diet that all of the Cullens followed. Jasper had lived off of human blood for 40 something years before he met me. I know it causes Jazz some pain, but I'm glad he's still with me and trying.

The last mwaka had been one of the most hectic years I have had since we joined the Cullens. My inayopendelewa "brother" Edward had fallen in upendo with a human girl named Bella Swan. Now this might not seem like a huge problem to most people, but in the vampire world there is just one rule that we must follow at all times and that is to tell no one about who/what we are. Bella figured it all out and still (for some strange reason) wanted to be with Edward. I had seen a few possible out comes from the Bella/Edward relationship and was happy to see that Edward was strong enough to resist, and that Bella was still human and if Edward has his way she will stay that way for a very long time.

Now Bella had attracted the attention of James a nomad vampire who after he saw Edward protect her, decided that it was the ultimate game and that he would get/kill her one way au another. He almost had his chance when James called and pretended to have Bellas mother and threatened to kill her if Bella didn't meet her at the ballet studio that she once went to. Bella snick away from Jazz and I and went to meet him alone. Edward arrived just in time and saved Bellas life, even though she was badly hurt and took a long time to heal.

I was Lost in thought thinking about all these things when Jasper took my hand in his.

"What are wewe thinking about love?" Jasper asked as he turned his full attention on my face and not as much on the road.

"Oh, just the last mwaka and how much all of our lives have changed." I alisema as I tried to shake the memories from my head.

"Well the one thing that has not, and never will change is how much I upendo you." He alisema as he took our hands and kissed my knuckles.

I smiled up at him and looked around to see that we had made it to Seattle while I was Lost in deep thought. Jasper pulled up in front of the main post office as I pulled the wide brimmed hat from the back kiti, kiti cha and put it on and fixed my hair. I pulled the vanity mirror down on the sun visor and checked my appearance.

"You look beautiful as ever." Jasper alisema as he got a gleam of upendo in his eye.
"You're a little biased." I alisema as I turned to kiss his smiling face.

I turned and hurried into the post office, turning once to smile at Jasper who turned the muziki up and pulled the car further into the shade of an old Ash tree.

I quickly went to box number 72 and opened it in once mwepesi, teleka songesha pulling the entire bundle out, and closed the door before any of the other people in the post office noticed. I turned and went back to the waiting car without looking at any of the mail. I began thumbing through the mail while Jasper pulled away from the curb.

"Do wewe want to go to the mall, au just the main stores?" Jasper asked as he smiled at me. He knew that since we had to come all the way up that I would want to take advantage of the opportunity for my inayopendelewa past time, shopping.

"Ummmmm why don't we head to the mall first." I alisema as I looked through the credit card bills, electric and water bills, and this months magazines, when something large and bulky hit my hand.

I pulled the large Manila envelope out of the pile and turned it over to see who this was for. I stared at the name when I realized that the name on it was mine. It had no return address, just that it had come from Mississippi, and looked like it had gone on quite a journey to get to me.

I tore the envelope open and shook it's contents out into my lap. What was inside was a very battered and torn journal. I had never seen this before, but wrapped around the outside being held in place kwa a rubber band was a short note.

I must have gotten very still because Jasper had taken my hand and had stopped the car to look at my shaking hand.

"Alice, what is it? What did wewe see?" Jasper asked in a worried tone.

I shook my head before I could put words together.
"There was this journal inside, it says that it is to me. I have never seen this before and I am worried to read the note." I alisema in a shaky tone.

"Why don't wewe wait until we get home, then we can go through all this together. Plus if anyone is trying to give us trouble I would rather have the rest of the family around." He alisema in a tone that was protective and threatening at the same time.

I nodded my agreement and pulled my knees up to my chest as the car pulled back on to the 101 and accelerated. I kept looking at the small journal and the note that was wrapped around it. I wanted very badly to read the note, but knew that I should wait until we were home.

The car pulled into the driveway when I began to worry about the small book again. I knew that if there were any problems, that Carslile if anyone would know what to do.

I got out of the card and thought to my self "Edward, I know wewe can hear me. There is something going on. I got a journal in the mail, and the only address on the whole thing is from Mississippi. I need wewe and Carslile to meet Jasper and I in the study please." I knew that no matter where he was in the house that Edward would hear me and would be getting Carlisle to jiunge him in the study.

I walked in the house, dropped the rest of the mail on the stand beside the door and headed up to the 3rd floor where Jasper's study was. I turned and sat on the floor against the glass ukuta with the small package on my knees. Jasper had taken his spot inayofuata to me and was looking out the window and towards the door when Edward and Carlisle walked in, closing the door behind them.
