Just wanted to give wewe the facts before we start.
“Come on Lauren wewe haven’t had a boyfriend in six months,” Christine said.
“Yea because wewe aliiba him,” I alisema rolling my eyes and biting into a carrot.
“He came happily,” she said.
I pushed a strand of dyed blonde hair behind my ear to keep my hand from curling into a fist and punching her in the face.
“I could get anyone I want,” I said.
“Uh huh sure.”
“Okay then what about hot new guy walking through the door over there?”
I turned around and saw him thick and wavy bronze hair, a light complexion, and unforgettable dhahabu eyes.
I fell out of my chair and Christine laughed and said, “Already giving up?”
“No, no I’ll be right back!”
“Ha she’s trying to run away,” I heard Christine say as I ran to a corner close to where they were sitting.”
He sat down inayofuata to a girl with dhahabu eyes and pixie hair and that’s when I knew it was him.
And I came out of the corner and walked up behind him and the girls face lit up and I said, “Edward? Alice?”
“Lauren its so good to see you,” Alice alisema jumping over to me and hugging me.
“You too Alice when did wewe get here?”
“Oh last night Esme talked Carlisle into moving her, she hasn’t seen wewe since wewe were four and all she gets is yearly pictures from your mom.”
“Gosh Edward look at her she looks so much like Bella. Doesn’t she?”
Edward got up and smiled at me and said, “Yes except for the blond hair and green eyes.”
“Oh I just dyed it blonde and I wear contacts.”
“Whose hair and eyes do wewe have,” Alice asked.
“Dad’s hair, mom’s eyes.”
“Aw Edward always loved Bella’s eyes. Let me see them,” Alice alisema jumping.
I sighed and popped out my contacts and looked up at her and said, “wa la.”
Edward glanced up and then turned away.
Mom and Edward had dated and well almost been married till she fell in upendo with dad instead.
Then I was lifted over someone’s shoulder and I Lost my breath and then I saw his face smiling up at me.
“Hey Lauren,” Emmett said.
He smiled proudly and I said, “People are staring now.”
He stared at me and I said, “Put me down.”
“Okay mini Bella.”
I shook my head and punched him in the gut and he laughed and said, “Is your hand broken.”
“Nope only stings a bit,” I said.
“Ah she’s not all soft like Bella, there’s some of her dad.”
I rolled my eyes and I said, “Well do I have any of wewe in any classes.”
Alice looked at me and then said, “You have your inayofuata class with Edward and then wewe have gym with me.”
“The rest of us are a mwaka older than ya,” Emmett said.
“More than a mwaka grandpa.”
“Do I look it?”
“Then it doesn’t matter,” Emmett said.
I shook my head and said, “Its good ta have wewe here.”
“How’d wewe know it was us,” Emmett asked?
“Well I saw Edward and your guys dhahabu eyes are pretty unforgettable, and I remember Alice too so that told me for certain.”
Edward stared at my face and I said, “hey Edward how’ve wewe been?”
“Good. How’s your dad?”
“Oh he’s good hasn’t changed much recently and he wants to a bit, so your guys being here is a good thing for him.”
“And your brother?”
“Pretty good wewe being here is going to send the change through him, he’s been waiting for a while.”
“I’m good, I won’t change they have twenty four pairs which makes wewe a werewolf. I have twenty three and a half.”
“And your mother?”
“She’s fine. Trying to talk dad into another kid.”
He nodded and I said, “She’ll be happy to see you, I can’t say the same for dad.”
He smiled then laughed lightly and said, “Probably not.”
“So what’s the story?”
“Me and Alice are fifteen, Emmett, Rose, and Jasper are sixteen, and were adopted kwa Dr. Cullen and Mrs. Cullen and your mother is our fathers old friend and me, you, and Alice have been Marafiki since we were kids.”
“Not too far from the truth,” I laughed.
Edward smiled and said, “Well the adopting part and the fact that we’ve been Marafiki since wewe were a kid.”
I laughed and said, “Yea well I guess that’s the only part.”
He looked up and looked across the room and he said, “Your Marafiki coming over here.”
I looked up and sure enough Christine was heading this way.
“You know sometimes I forget wewe can do that.”
He gave me a half smile that made my moyo stop and he looked away.
Again I forgot he could tell I was thinking that.
Christine came over and said, “ah Lauren getting acquainted with the new kids?”
“Hardly their all such morons,” I alisema elbowing Emmett and Edward.
“Uh huh were the morons I’ve seen wewe in diapers and with drool running down your face,” Emmett said.
Christine laughed and Edward said, “Uh huh Emmett and where wewe were during this time Emmett? Oh yea that’s right we were in diapers and drooling too because we were babies!”
“No we wer…oh yea we were ha ha.”
“God your stupid Em,” I said.
He chuckled and said, “I guess I’m still not as smart as wewe and Edward.”
“So wewe know each other,” Christine asked.
“Yea uh their adopted kids of my moms old friend Dr. Cullen.”
“Ah and this isn’t just a pretend thing to get out of the bet?”
“No. Of course not. I am let out of the bet right?”
“No of course wewe aren’t.”
Edward looked at me and looked at him with pleading eyes since I knew he knew exactly what the bet was.
He shrugged and I glared at him and Alice said, “Oh the bet will happen.”
Edward looked at her and so did I and she said, “I’m not lying au playing wewe it’ll happen.”
“Edward it’s gonna happen.”
“No it won’t. She’s her daughter. She’s his daughter!”
I turned and saw Jacob my brother.
He was handsome and looked just like dad, muscular, tall, black hair, tan skin, and deep brown eyes.
I smiled at him and said, “Jacob wewe remember the Cullen’s.”
“The one? The one mom? The one dad?”
“Yes Jacob those ones and that one I alisema pointing at Edward.”
“I don’t see what she saw in him.”
“Are wewe kidding me he looks like an angel.”
“He does not.”
We glared at each other and I said, “Alice is seeing something.”
“Her lil wewe know power,” I whispered.
“What did she see?”
“Jacob its nothing.”
Edward stared at me and Jacob eyes wide and Jacob looked up and said, “What are wewe looking at?”
Edward looked away and Alice said, “It’s just wewe and her look so much like your parents, like Bella and Jacob it’s still hard for him and it’s hard for him to look at her let alone wewe and her together.”
I looked at Edward and said, “I get told I look like her all the time that’s why I got the colored contacts and dyed my hair I wanted to be my own person not a replica of my mom.”
“Your not,” Edward alisema “your thoughts are different not that I ever heard hers but what she did tell me was different, so delicate and well stubborn yours are strong, loud, and quick, kind of like your dads, so are your brothers.”
“Damn it,” Jacob said.
“What the hell is going on,” Christine said.
“Nothing were just role playing.”
“You’re crazy Lauren.”
And then she left.
Thank god I thought.
“Well we better head to class,” Edward said.
I nodded and followed him and he said, “don’t listen to Alice she’s just teasing.”
“You’d be the one to know.”
He smiled lightly and he went to the back of the genetics lab and sat down.
I sat down inayofuata to him and he said, “were not going to be coming to class often here, either of us.”
“They’ll have us practice kwa testing our blood I can’t come for that since, one I don’t have any and two I can’t be openly around it.”
“Eh blood makes my leg hurt but at least I’m not like my mom, she passes out.”
He laughed and said, “I know then stared off.”
“I can’t come on the pair’s siku though,” I said.
“Neither can I.”
“I have 25.”
“And I have 23 and a half.”
“Yea the freaks of nature.”
I laughed and said, “Blame it on the Mbwa mwitu loups and the vamps.”
He smiled at me and I looked at his lips and for a sekunde I thought about it.
And that sekunde would cost me a lot.
