When the battle finally started I tried to concentrate and keep an eye on everyone but soon I realized there is one big problem - everyone has mgawanyiko, baidisha up and there was huge distances (at least for me) between them. The bigger area they occupied the bigger amount of my strength it'll require. If this battle is going to be long I might end up losing consciousness and becoming completely useless which would be, considering how many soldiers Volturi have, really really bad.
"Help Emmett" Nessie whispered and took my hand. Since they are fighting too fast for me to follow it was decided that she will tell me where my help is needed. I found Emmett with my shield and noticed that his group was facing the biggest part of Volturi. I threw off some Wanyonya damu and using Jasper's powers spread a wave of fear among enemies.
"My mom" Nessie squeezed my hand from terror. I quickly extended my shield again to protect Bella from a huge guard. I felt how one of mtu-bweha ripped his arm and he backed off. I decided it was time to find Jane and Alec for me - if I could turn their abilities against Volturi it would be much zaidi effective than borrowing one of Cullens powers. And don't forget Chelsea - I made myself a mental note - if I'll break their relationships and add zaidi fear, some of them should definitely run away.
"Jasper" Nessie exclaimed and for a sekunde I had to forget finding Jane. I shuddered from horror when I saw Jasper being torn into two halves. Alice left her mtu-bweha group and ran to him. I created a bubble of physical shield so no one could hurt them . How could I let that happen? Tears started rolling down my cheeks and Nessie brushed them.
"Don't worry, it's not fatal. Alice will help to stick him together" - her word made me to sigh from relief. I was glad that it's so hard to kill a vampire. Though on the other hand it might also be a problem. I tried to concentrate even harder o what's happening on the field. Bingo! I found Alec earlier than Jane and then it wasn't very difficult to use him to create a wingu of mist spreading towards Volturi. I knew Bella is also shielding everyone so the mist shouldn't affect anyone from our side. There was some terrified and surprised voices when guards started losing their senses.
"Alec, what the hell are wewe doing?" Aro growled.
"I,I don't know, I, I can't control it" Alec's voice was horrified.
"Traitor! Kill him!"
"No!" I heard gasping young girl's voice but it was already too late - mist was gone and I couldn't control it. Alec was dead. I knew it's war and no one of them would onyesha me a bit of mercy but still I felt a little guilty. He didn't lie after all, he couldn't control it. I turned my senses on finding Jane cause it was a wrong time to solve my guilt issues. I let my senses drift across the field and noticed that mtu-bweha left kwa Alice were in a tough situation. Three Wanyonya damu jumped on one of them and my hand involuntarily stretched mbele to create a shield. While I watched Wanyonya damu flying and falling onto the ground I couldn't help a smile. I checked Jasper and Alice cause I had to let go their protection - Jasper was in one piece and ready to fight. He met my gaze and mouthed "thanks". I just nodded. Searching for Jane took longer than I thought cause there were many guards but finally I found her. Cullens told me how cruel she is, however, I still didn't like the idea to send a wave of pain to all of them. I wasn't used to torturing but the fight was getting intensive and I forced myself to close my eyes - in a sekunde I heard dozen of screams. It scared me so much that I stopped. I looked at Aro who was staring angrily at Jane (For God's sake, she's just a child!). But then his expression changed into surprise and I understood why. Jane couldn't be a traitor too cause she was also one of the victims. How could she send the pain illusion to herself? Aro shifted his gaze from her to our side. He carefully looked round until his eyes stopped at me.
"Why don't we have a break, dear Carlisle?" he almost sang the question. Was he joking? au was it a trick? They couldn't be possibly tired so quickly.
"What do wewe want?" Carlisle asked in distrustful tone.
"I have an offer. An offer how we can solve this situation without fighting"
"And without destroying werewolves?"
"Yes. We'll leave all of wewe alone" he was smiling and that made me clench my teeth. He wasn't a nice person, I could feel it, so why he would give us such offer? It must be a trick.
"What do wewe want?" Carlisle asked still disbelieving and Aro turned his smile to me.
"I want her"
There was a pause of silence and then mtu-bweha started howling. I saw how few of Cullens shook their heads. No one wanted to consider it, no one, except me. Only one life Lost and they will be safe. Only one stranger who once was a threat. How they cannot see that this offer is great? I didn't want to die but I knew that I won't waver for a sekunde to say yes. Everyone else will be safe. Embry will be safe.
"No. We don't betray our friends"
"Well, I gave wewe a really good offer. If wewe don't want..."
"Wait, Carlisle, think about it" I shouted before I could think "It might be a good way out"
"No, Lilly. No one of us is going to agree on this. It's not even your fight" mtu-bweha howled agreeing with him. I sighed cause I was sure Embry would never let me go near them. I guess there is no choice after all.
"So that's your final word?" Aro inquired with a look that alisema I'm going to become his reward for all of this.
"Yes"
"Then let's continue"
Guards followed his words and attacked again.
