"Cydnee, right?" The doctor said, and I nodded. "You must be Tabra." Tabra nodded. "Hi, I'm Dr. Black. But call me Ethan, please."
"Alright, Ethan." Tabra rose to his feet and shook his hand. "Nice to meet ya'."
"Yea. Can I ask wewe something, Ethan?" I sat on my bed, and he nodded.
"Did wewe ever have Verona as a patient?" I asked him. "She's on this floor, room 23."
"Yes, I did. I know why she's here, and I made sure the others didn't get to her." Ethan said, and my moyo sank in relief.
"Oh good," I laughed nervously.
"Can I ask why?" He wondered.
"Because, my boyfriend Jerek is best Marafiki with her, we are Marafiki with her too, and she got hurt kwa them badly, her mother got murdered, and I wanted to make sure she is salama here." I explained quickly.
"Oh, well don't worry. I'll call wewe with sasisho if wewe give me your number."
I thought quickly. "Not right now." I said, knowing we had business to do. "I'll tell Jerek and see what he wants to do."
"Alright." Ethan looked at Tabra, and jumped into a conversation with him, while I thought to myself.
'The others, as in the ngome wiccans. Great. They know she's here. Crap. Wait! When Ethan isn't checking on her...who is?"

"When we were five, they asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up. Our majibu were things like astronaut, president, au in my case… princess.
When we were ten, they asked again and we answered - rock star, cowboy, au in my case, dhahabu medalist. But now that we've grown up, they want a serious answer. Well, how 'bout this: who the hell knows?!
This isn't the time to make hard and fast decisions, its time to make mistakes. Take the wrong train and get stuck somewhere chill. Fall in upendo - a lot. Major in philosophy 'cause there's no way to make a career out of that. Change your mind. Then change it again, because nothing is permanent.
So make as many mistakes as wewe can. That way, someday, when they ask again what we want to be… we won't have to guess. We'll know."
