So I'm an aspiring writer and after reading Twilight for the first time it's sparked of thousands of ideas...
My book is going to be about a boy whose best friend goes away to boarding school and when she returns she's completely different, as in, always serious or angry, has aquired a new and suprising strength, speed and cunning.
The book will focus on the boy's journey to uncover the truth about his friend.

I don't want my story to be about a Vampire though, as it will seem to much like Twilight.
So does anyone know of some sort of mythical creature, with speed, strenght and cunning beyond human abilities?

And links to some good sites if anyone knows of any would be appreiciated.
