I disagree. If were talking about years, Dakota acted first time in year 2000 when Kristen acted first time in 2001, and if we're talking about in how many things they've been, Dakota's been in a lot more.

I agree with aboutpixiesust.I am not a huge fan of Dakota but she had played in many more super productions.For me she is a very talanted young actress.

dokota fanning has got so much more experience! Kristen has been in one major film out side of twilight. Dakota Fanning was in War of the worlds, the cat in the hat, push, The Secret Life of Bees . . . i could go one.

I think Kristen looks perfect for Bella.. but I was surprised at how bad she was at times. Dakota is a natural, albeit a little creepy.

Kristen is more of an 'indie' actress who does low key things. Dakota is amazing. She has a lot of experience.

dakota fanning is absolutely awesome. kristen is older with more experience, but only a few years more. dakota is 15, kristen is what...19? anyways, i think dakota is way better than kristen. in more ways than one.

Well I dont watch many movies from either actress. So I cant exactly judge and if we are basing this question on whether they play Bella or Jane well, than I cant judge on that either since I havent seen New Moon.

Actually Kristen has been acting longer compared to Dakota. Kristen's acting career started when she was 8 years old. I think her biggest breakthrough was 'Panic Room'. Kristen was 12 then. Dakota first acted in a commercial when she was just 5. Her obvious biggest breakthrough was her role in "I Am Sam" with Sean Penn( I remember crying in that movie. lol). She was just 7 years old then.

I think Dakota Fanning is a better actress than Kristen though. I really feel that she would be amazing as Jane. If you think that Dakota is not creepy enough, watch 'Hide and Seek'. Dakota Fanning was CREEPY.

No competition: Hands down Dakota. In my opinion, Kristen Stewart has no range. She wasn't very good as Bella, and the other roles I've seen her in have been pretty boring/not fantastic. I haven't seen Speak, and apparently she was great in that, but Dakota Fanning is younger and still has a whole lot more talent. She's got acting chops.
This girl's fantastic. I have no doubt she'll do great as Jane. Still hoping that Kristen wont utterly suck as Bella once again.

Kirsten just isn't as good as Dakota. And I am not just saying that because I am jelling over her.
