"The power of one man's goodness is like a candle that makes the darkness recede...If every man were a candle there would be no darkness"

Apart from being a great writer/composer Bono and his crew have made such important contributions to public awareness through their art, regarding the social, economic and political needs of third world countries.

There is a need to take responsibility, to take action. A need to unite. A need, Bono says "...to tear down the walls that hold us back inside...to reach out and touch the flame, where the streets have no name..."

I'm unsure if the underlying vision of U2's muziki will be completely realised in our time but the seeds have truly been sown and to those with whom their muziki resonates, it's impact will be felt.

"One" is a song about human frailty. It's a song about our fears, our aspirations, our need for hope. In the end, what we do has an effect on everyone and everything around us. We are all interconnected.

"...One love, one blood, one life, wewe gotta do what wewe should. One life with each other; sisters, brothers. One life but we're not the same. We get to carry each other, carry each other...One, One"

If wewe have an appreciation for real art,for muziki of substance,I highly recommend U2's "vertigo" tour, live in Chicago, 2005. "Where the streets have no name","One" and "bullet the blue sky" are particular gems.

A great shabiki
