This is a short, one-shot I wrote about Daniel/Bradford, I wasn't too happy with it, but I'll let wewe decide for yourself...:)

Disclaimer: Not mine, I get no money from this, purely for my entertainment.

A/N: Song is Reba McEntire. Just a short Daniel/Bradford one shot song fic.

The Greatest Man I Never Knew

Daniel sat in his apartment in the pitch black dark. He hadn’t even bothered to turn any lights on. He couldn’t face the light; au rather he didn’t want to. All he could think about was his father and his ‘son’ and even if he didn’t know for sure that Daniel was his son he knew he owed him, because if he was his son he knew how he felt.

Daniel knew what it was like to grow up with an ‘absent’ father, the pain it causes, the maswali it leaves permanently unanswered, and the never-ending quest for approval wewe feel certain that no matter how hard wewe try wewe can never get. Daniel was all too familiar with each of these emotions and he had always promised himself that he would NEVER let his son feel any of them.

He leaned back on the kitanda and sighed. Glancing to his left he saw a small radio inayofuata to him and felt the unexplainable urge to turn it on. When he did a slow country song began to play, he had never really been a shabiki and was kind of tempted to turn it off, but his exhaustion got the best of him. And later on when he looked back he was glad he didn’t. It was oddly just what he needed; it went a little something like this:

[i]The greatest man I never knew
Lived just down the hall
And everyday we alisema hello
But never touched at all
He was in his paper
I was in my room
How was I to know he thought I hung the moon

The greatest man I never knew
Came nyumbani late every night
He never had too much to say
Too much was on his mind
I never really knew him
And now it seems so sad
Everything he gave to us took all he had

Then the days turned into years
And the memories to black and white
He grew cold like an old winter wind
Blowing across my life

The greatest words I never heard
I guess I'll never hear
The man I thought could never die
S'been dead almost a year
He was good at business
But there was business left to do
He never alisema he loved me
Guess he thought I knew[i]

Hi Detty shippers!!

Here's Jenny's 1st story that I convinced her to let me post on here with the link to the fanfiction.net website for the rest. The story is innovative, fun & sweet!! Have a look, the story takes place circa 4.12 Blackout!

This is how I'd write the inayofuata episode.

Betty walked through mode towards Daniels office. She was so excited, today was a good day. First she finds out she'll be helping Daniel interview her inayopendelewa actor, then moments later she finds out her blog won a bloggy. Storming through Daniels door without knocking, she runs to his dawati where he's seated.

“Daniel,...

This week concluded link’s run on Thursday nights with bringing out loads of stars from thelink finale and a whole lot of confusion with many things happening and then “unhappening” and then re-happening again but the most important is how stupid Betty can be sometimes and how much Daniel has changed since the premiere episode a few years back. The whole episode looks rather manipulative, Betty has a job! Betty doesn’t have a job. Betty is promoted! Betty isn’t promoted. Betty is in love! Betty isn’t in love, Betty’s sort of in love. The threat of Molly’s death although being...

I wrote this a while zamani and was thinking if anybody wanted to read it they could :)

Disclaimer: Totally one hundred percent NOT mine…never have been…sadly never will be.

A/N: Hope wewe all really enjoy this story. Sorry it’s so late coming but school has been crazy lately and I have been out of town anyway…I don’t know how it will end up yet, but I am thinking it will be Betty & Becks all the way…with Daniel friendship…kind of different for me but hujambo its worth a try.

Two for the Price of One

Betty was sitting at her house on a Friday night watching televisheni and eating popcorn...

There is a striking contrast between America and her character
There is a striking contrast between America and her character
I've had this idea in the back of my head for a long while now, and after yet another pick asking whether au not Betty should get a make over and be pretty, I decided to finally address my frustrations with this idea in soapbox form.

Regardless of what's been done in shows like link, upon which our Ugly Betty is based, I think the onyesha will jump the papa if/when Betty gets a makeover and is suddenly beautiful and fashionable. Why? Well, I'll tell you.

First of all, this idea initially popped into my head when I was watching Beauty and the Beast with my roommate and she commented, "You know,...

Plot
Betty Suarez is a courageous, good-hearted, and slightly naive girl from Queens, New York who is sorely lacking in fashion sense. She is abruptly thrust into a different world when she lands a job at Mode, a trendy high fashion magazine based in Manhattan that is part of the publishing empire of the wealthy Bradford...

Here are (my) 10 reasons why Ugly Betty shouldn't be and may I add also, doesn't deserve to be cancelled in no particular order:

1) It is one of the few shows which has a worldwide shabiki base as big as it has already- from the US to the likes of Australia, UK, South Africa, China to name Ugly Betty's appeal is massive.

2) Despite falling ratings for season 3, and criticisms from some ex- Ugly Betty fans, most notably from the Benry and Getty quarters, it is actually a definite improvement over season 2, of which I didn't have much hope for, the longer it went on.

3)It is the only onyesha I tune into...

hujambo all. I have a great book -- definitely in the “Ugly Betty” mode -- to recommend. It’s called “The Flawless Skin of Ugly People” (by a guy named Doug Crandell) and it’s fabulous. It’s about the relationship between a misfit of a guy with really bad acne and his extremely overweight girlfriend. Think Jenny Craig ad crossed with ProActiv infomercial, and you’ll get the idea. The best thing, though, is that this is a real upendo story, really romantic. And a really comforting read for anybody (like me) tired of all the perfect Heroes and heroines in these kind of books. It’s out this week (and in paperback, which is good), and definitely worth buying.
We read picha and pictures in an attempt to decode them and make sense of what they mean to us.

Semiotics is the study of signs but also of anything which stands for 'something else'. Signs can be anything: sounds, pictures, words, objects, hand gestures for example. Semiotics, which is also known as 'semiology' has been recognised and regarded as one of the main theoretical areas within media and cultural studies. I think this is because that we realise that there is zaidi than one way of kusoma a TV show, film, photo, poster. It is one thing describing what it looks like, but it is also another...
