Because I like an episode if it has Detty on it!Even if it is one tiny little hint!!
Everything is Detty for me!!!!!
Aslo I disliked the episodes with Lidsay Lohan for some reason...

detty4ever- i actually liked ugly berry, seeing as willie fires kimmie and marc and amanda realise what a two-faced b*tch she is and alas, they manage to get her fired. interesting that crush'd is your favourite- i would've rated it third or fourth on my list- if it weren't as said for the marc cheating on cliff storyline. but detty-wise, it was brill and the scene with betty and daniel outside the party was really sweet.

Yeah ugly berry had this thing with Kimmie getting fired, which I liked but I don't know it was a little indifferent for me..

As for "Crush'd" I didn't have to think it at all!!!It is 100% my favourite episode!!!And of course the reason why is that trully beautiful Daniel/Betty scene at the end!!!I loved the words and that he really meant what he was saying..and the way that he was looking Betty in the eyes and vice versa..and of course the hug..soo Detty hint!!!

I also like very much "tornado girl" for the quote "Her name wouln't be Betty..would it?" So unexpected, yet so freaking awesome!I love Claire!And I also liked the Detty conflict..they show their passion in their fights!!And when Daniel admit it in front of eveyone that it was his fault!!!Lets don't forget the scene when he was trying to reach her but because of the reportes he couldn't so he said "I'm sorry" silently...Lovely!

i think your choices and the order you put them in, depends on a) who you ship on the show and b) what your favourite characters are. likewise, both detty4ever and besafe, your choices are based on your love for detty, whilst mines is based on my mamanda, marc and amanda shipperness. although 'there's no place like mode' was a great episode and one i enjoyed very much, despite the lack of mamanda in it.

lol this is true, my love for Detty does determine where I put certain episodes...so naturally the episodes with the greatest Detty are going to get the top spot for me...:)

Yes I rate the episodes according to Detty!!!The less Detty the less interesting episode! These two are the reason I'm watching the show!They are the backbone of the show, as Eric Mabius has said in an interview!!!!!

My opinion exactly, the are the backbone/heart of the show, it centers on them, both their induvidual evolution as well as the evolution of them together...but I love Mamanda episodes as well...because I LOVE Marc/Amanda...

*ok, i just rewatched 'betty suarez land' today, and realised it wasn't as bad an episode as i had seen it, first time round. but still, i wouldn't put it in my top 5.

^^That seems to happen to me a LOT, which is why I generally only rate after having seen something twice, for some reason the first time isn't always the best?!

besafe- the main reason why i put it there, other than the fact that the first time i saw it, i thought it was boring afterwards was because of the whole betty/gio thing- which no offence to the getty shippers and gio fans bored me the longer it went on during season 2. but when i saw it for a second time, i felt that it was okay. the willie and marc scenes were hilarious still and hilda breaking up with coach diaz was a good thing.

and i agree, i suppose that once you watch an episode for the first time and you think it is awful or crap, you then decide to watch it after more times, and decide to change you mind on it afterwards.

personally for me, i would've put crush'd in my top 5 list- HAD there not been for that marc cheating on cliff storyline. as much as i hated what marc did, i was livid when i first read what the writers were coming up with for marc. you know how much i love marc- and the fact that the writers managed to turn him into a love rat, just -pardon my language- pissed me off, in no end.

1. When betty met YETI - I single this out as the BEST episode this season. (me loves you Brian!)

2. Betty suarez land - Gio (F-rod was let to show some acting) and Daniel/DJ and Alexis arc. Nothing compared to season 1 or 2 quality though. :(
3. Sugar daddy - this was fun and clever!
4. Things fall apart - Connor and Willy arc was wow first time the show actually surprises me with a huge twist!!

5. filing for the enemy - Bettymina ^_^
6. crush'd - beautiful art direction and music was WOW (Emmich's: "Get on with it") nooo... Cliff!
7. Bad amanda -interesting one. How I love Amanda!

-- I have some case of serious fan adiction to this show *even though this is really making me agry as of late* I watch the episode live on my Cable TV. Then I download the episode and rewatch it on the next sunday morning. If it's really good I might rewatch it completely as I am looking for clips for fanvids. Then by the end of season I buy the DVD and rewatch the whole thing again. I am not sure I will do same with season 3. I might select my fav episodes though. I am not totally given up on this yet.

*i watched tornado girl a few days ago, i have to say i enjoyed it more than i did first time round. i thought it was a really good episode, despite the lack of betty, marc and amanda interaction.

waichingliu81- totally agree with you on the Gio/Betty thing getting boring after a while, so I understand why you put that episode where you did its not very high on my list either looking back, and OMG YAY you liked Tornado Girl better the second time, I'm glad because that is one of my favorite episodes!

besafe- the moments which stood out for me in the tornado girl episode were:

- betty and daniel's bust-up after she found out about what daniel did
- marc and betty's talk in the photocopy room and him confessing to her about his cheating on cliff
- the end scene with daniel apologising in front of the papparazi and betty saying 'thank you' to him. that was pure detty magic! :)

though of course marc's hair looked terrible throughout that episode, but it was still very good, nonetheless.

waichingliu81- LOL Marc's hair was pretty bad in that episode I must admit, and I HATED the Marc cheating on Cliff storyline, I just never really saw Marc as the kind to do that sort of thing, I still don't, but I did like the Betty/Marc conversation it was cute, and the Daniel/Betty fight was sad and adorable...and I agree with you on the end scene being 'pure Detty magic', lol I really like that actually :)
