Rainwhisker bolted back up the kilima to where Silvertail and the apprentices were standing. "What was she doing?" asked Honeypaw. "Being a mouse-brain." He replied shortly. Silvertail dipped her head. "We should head back. It looks like a big storm." Rainwhisker tilts his head to the sky. Dark clouds are rolling over the sky. "Yes, let's head back." he agreed. Smokepaw and Honeypaw rush ahead and Silvertail stared at Rainwhisker. "What's wrong?" she meowed. He looked away. "Nothing. Let's go." He ran ahead and followed after the apprentices. Silvertail looked over her shoulder. Right, I'm sure it's nothing.
Sunstripe was waiting at the entrance to the camp. He purred as he saw Silvertail. "Want to go hunting?" he asked. Silvertail shook her head. "No, sorry I'm very tired." Smokepaw and Honeypaw rushed to the apprentice pango as it started to rain. Rainwhisker sat in a corner of camp, staring at the entrance. He was waiting for Grayflower to walk in. She is so selfish for her own feelings. Jumping to conclusions. I have to songesha on. I will never admit I ever liked her. Rainwhisker rests his head on his paws as the rain splashes him.
"Grayflower, where were you?" meows a voice. It's Splashstar. Rainwhisker's head pops up and he stares at her. Grayflower's gray fur, manyoya is messy and she hangs her head. "Out." she answered. Her eyes wander over to Rainwhisker. He shakes his head and walks away. "Get some sleep. We need wewe on the moonhigh patrol." The she-cat nods and walks into the warriors den.
Rainwhisker growls and scratches the dirt.
"He has green cough." meows a voice. Rainwhisker pricks his ears. Green cough? Who? "He isn't going to survive this. Who do wewe think Splashstar will pick as new deputy?" Rainwhisker shot up. They were talking about Owlfang. This was his chance. His chance to become deputy. He could do it!
Rainwhisker got up and padded into the medicine den. "Hello Rainwhisker, do wewe need something?" asks a small brown she-cat. "No, Applepaw. I just wanted to visit with Owlfang." A fit of coughing tells him where the ill deputy is. "Owlfang, how are you?" he asked. The gray tom coughed and whispered, "Not too well, I'm afraid." Rainwhisker dipped his head. "That is quite unfortunate." Owlfang stared at him. "What ever happened?" he suddenly meowed. "With what?" inquired Rainwhisker. "Our friendship. We used to be so close, and now wewe barely talk to me." Owlfang meows sadly. Rainwhisker straightened up. "I grew jealous of you." he answered simply. "Why?"
"Because wewe have something that I want." Owlfang stared at Rainwhisker. "You wanted to be deputy." The dark gray tom nods. "Yes, it's my only wish. To lead Dusk Clan." Owlfang erupts into a fit of coughs again. "You might have your chance." he choked. "Rainwhisker, I need to to leave now." meowed Brittletail, the medicine cat. "Sure thing. I'll come back later." he meowed to Owlfang. And with that he was gone.
Silvertail stared at the prey pile, trying to decided what to eat when Grayflower stalked up to her. "Hello, Grayflower. How are you?" the silver she-cat meowed pleasantly. "Better if wewe weren't in this Clan." she hissed. Silvertail's eyes widened. "W-what?" she stammered. "It's obvious wewe aliiba Rainwhisker's heart!" Grayflower snapped. "And I upendo him!" Silvertail flattened her ears. "Well, maybe if wewe weren't such a badger to him, he would have fell for wewe instead!" Grayflower growled deep in her throat. "Don't bring this up to anyone. I'm so happy I was never your littermate, and I feel bad for anyone who was." Silvertail hissed but walked away from the pile. She had Lost her appetite. I hope she falls in a bramble kichaka and gets caught there!
