Now, what is an overworld? Well, it is a place where the player can explore to his au her full extent. It is something where wewe can just hang out instead of progressing the games story. So, I decided to make a orodha of my ten personal inayopendelewa overworlds in games. Note, this is my list, so sorry if there is an overworld that wewe wanted to see that wasn’t here. Now, with that said, lets start the list
#10: Fortune City - Now, this is lower, since it is a LOT smaller than the later entries on the list, but I still had to put it on this orodha for fun. Now, Fortune City is a town that is based of a common city that is a lot like your typical gambling city. However, there is a twist. Zombies… of course, all Dead Rising players would know that. While wewe are here, wewe can find weapons to protect yourself, bosses to fight, survivors to save, and even a bunch of money to buy stupid shit with. Sure, it is kinda small compared to the later entries, but is is still fun to explore.
#9: Italy from Assassin’s Creed - Now, this place is just fun to explore. After a long siku of killing a bunch of people, it is nice to go out and jump around on buildings, buy new weapons, try and collect the flags, throw money around, and get annoyed kwa the minstrels. Now, this place is REALLY huge. I mean, they really worked hard for the games to build these towns. Thankfully, wewe have the climbing skills of a chimp, so getting around isn’t too hard… and it is a lot of fun too. It is hard to not have fun exploring the town.
#8: Kalos Region from Pokemon X and Y - With the latest Pokemon game… that isn’t a remake (Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire), we were aliyopewa a new cast of characters, new forms of Pokemon, and a whole new region. The Kalos Region to be exact. This whole region is actually based on Paris, France, which I gotta give Gamefreak credit for doing that. This whole region lets wewe explore grasslands, mountains, oceans, swamps, caves, and so much zaidi with your Pokemon. It is a great place to explore, and I can never get tired of it, no matter how hard I try
#7: Albion from Fable 2 - Now, while Albion in Fable 1 was beautiful, I just had to go with the one from the sekunde game. This one shows us so much amazing things, like villages filled with all sorts of interesting people, to forests filled with bandits, to a town of thieves and criminals, to an abandoned and deadly village. This game has so much to explore, and with the fact that there are 50 Gargoyles to smash and 50 Silver Keys to collect, there is so much to do in this game. This game really makes wewe feel like an adventurer, and I upendo it for that… WHICH IS WHY I WAS SO PISSED WHEN THEY RUINED IT IN FABLE 3! IT SEEMS THAT GAMES ONLY PURPOSE IS TO DESTROY THE ORIGINAL GAMES!
#6: Bladehenge from Brutal Legend - Now, this place is REALLY unique. Bladehenge has a lot for wewe to explore, from an open grassland, to a desert, to a snowy mountain, to a jungle, to a swamp, and much more. Another thing to notice are all of the monuments, like giant guitar, gitaa statues, a giant sword, a ukuta made of speakers, a bunch of skull towers that shoot harpoons. Basically, all of the games environments are based off covers to heavy metal albums, which is a real impressive idea for the creators. Mix that with all of the amazing exploration and all the secrets, and wewe have an amazing overworld.
#5: Spiral Mountain from Banjo Tooie - Sure, this may be zaidi of a hub world, but, come on, it’s Banjo Tooie. This game just has so much nostalgia in it. Spiral Mountain always had that catchy song that I couldn’t get tired of, and it was always so great to run around it in new age 3D graphics (They were new at the time anyway). Sure, this may not be all that great, but, it just has SO much nostalgia
#4: Hyrule Field from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - HOLY SHIT! WINDWAKERGUY DIDN’T PUT THE GREAT SEA FROM WIND WAKER! Yeah, I didn’t. While the Great Sea is… well, great, Hyrule Field beat it to the punch. This was the overworld that started the overworld craze. It showed players all the new and unique ways of how the future of gaming would look. This place separated the players from all sorts of regions like Hyrule ngome Town, Kakariko Village, Kokiri Forest, Lake Hylia, and Gerudo Valley. It also has so much secrets, that wewe will no doubt be exploring this place for a while
#3: Los Santos from Grand Theft Auto V - Now, how many people do wewe think played along with the games story? Not a whole lot. In fact, most people just explored the city of Los Santos. And who could blame them. This place is huge. I mean, like, REALLY huge. Even driving around in the fastest car possible will take the player some time to get to their destination. This town has a lot of places for wewe to explore, from the typical broncks area where crime is real high, to the zaidi expensive areas, to the run down desert city filled with drug dealers, and a psychotic Canadian who is possibly a cannibal, whose name will not be mentioned (Trevor). Like I said, this city is huge, yet it is just so fun to explore
#2: The West from Red Dead Redemption - Hey, look, another Rockstar game. This time, it’s possibly my inayopendelewa of all of Rockstars games. The West is MASSIVE! Quite easily the largest world in any sandbox game yet. This place has so much to it. Like a giant desert, a town, a giant desert, a lake, a giant desert, a giant desert….. and another giant fucking desert. Yeah, desert’s make up the majority of this world, but, that’s the west of the early 1900’s for you. And it is amazing. And with a world this massive, there is bound to be so many things for wewe to do. I mean, how could there not be?
#1: Peach’s ngome from Super Mario 64 - Yep, I am doing another one based off nostalgia, but, this one is just perfect. This overworld is amazing in so many ways. Not only did this game revolutionize the platforming genre, but it also introduced us to one the best, if not the best overworld in games. Peach’s ngome paves the way for so much places to explore, like Bob-omb Battlefield, Jolly Roger Bay, Shifting Sand Land, upinde wa mvua Ride, Tick Tock Clock, and so much more. Not only does her ngome have so much worlds to enter, but it also holds so much secrets. Like a giant slide, an underwater maze, a bunch of clouds, and SO much more. I upendo all these secrets so much. If wewe have not played Super Mario 64, I am so sorry. Thankfully, they released the game for DS in all its wonderful glory. So, go and buy that… au not, your choice
So, there wewe have it. Did wewe enjoy the list? Tell me what wewe think. With that, I will see wewe all inayofuata time.
