"What does it taste like", asked the girl who gave me the piece of meat.
"Blueberry pancakes."
"Is that your inayopendelewa food?"
I nodded. "Why does it taste like that?" Before I could get an answer, the other girls sat in a mduara, duara around the fire. We went and joined them.
"Sisters", alisema the girl who gave me that piece of meat. "We have a new family member."Meet Sister Vanessa."
"Welcome Sister Vanessa", alisema everyone.
"How do wewe know my name?"
"We're Sisters, Vanessa. We know everyone's name."
"I don't know any of you."
"That's because your not at full power."
"Oh." I was sure she meant I wasn't done with 'the change', aka metamorphosis.
"Speaking of power, let's onyesha wewe what wewe will soon be able to do. Sisters?" Everyone stood up and around me, who was still sitting kwa the fire. They started chanting and doing these strange movements.
The moto then started to get hotter. It also changed colors. It changed from orange, to yellow, to green, to blue, to indigo, and finally to violet. At that point, I was too excited to see what would happen next, still very close to the fire.
All of a sudden, the moto erupted into the sky. The heat was so intense, it gave me a burn on my arm as I tried to shield my eyes from the heat. "Ow!" I backed away from the fire.
The girls stopped chanting. They all ran up to see if I was okay. "It hurts alot." One girl got some dirt, grabbed my arm, and rubbed it all over my burn. It felt soothing at first, then it stung like crap! I screamed in pain. "Why do wewe people keep hurting me?!" I got up and ran deeper into the first than I already was.
Was I over-exaggerating? Of course, I mean, they were just trying to help. But I needed an excuse to get out of there; it was getting late. The only part where I wasn't exaggerating is when the heat of the moto burned my arm and made me angry. Why was I angry? Well, I'm not sure, but I was, er, still am.
It began to rain. Just perfect. As I continued walking, I thought about how Cameron was treating me since we broke up. For a guy who broke my heart, he was treating me really nicely. I smiled. Rain's clearing up. Then I thought about who he left me for. My smile turned into scowl. Rain came back. I heard thunder. With thunder . I saw a road up ahead. I walked onto it. Where was I going?
Could Cameron still have feeling for me? Before I could ponder it any longer, a car came straight towards me! Jump out of the way! I couldn't move. The car was coming closer and I couldn't songesha out of the way.Goodbye world!.......................
