Some of it is Scott's perspective of Gotham city, and some is Scott's past. Enjoy~ :P
Danny looked up from the parking lot, and up towards his apartment window. Scott was perched in the window sill with his head on his knees. He walked up to the apartment and unlocked the door.
"Hey Scott, what are wewe doing here..?" Danny sat down his backpack.
"Needed a break....."
"And may I ask what?" Danny plopped down on the couch,
"Everything. Work, the cave. I'm just tired and wanted some peace." Scott looked over at his cousin. "Did I ever tell wewe the whole story?"
"About..?"
"That night.."
When wewe see the road ahead,
That you've been down before
Scott looked up from where he was lying. He crawled over to where his Sarahs body was at. He reached out to her, but was knocked over from a kick in the side kwa his father.
When you're halfway to nowhere
And wewe can't pay the toll
"Look what wewe done! wewe ungrateful brat!" His fathers words stung every time he opened his mouth.
"I'm sorry! I-I didn't mean to! It was an honest accident!" Scott grunted as another kick with hit into his side.
"Sorry! Sorry! ng'ombe crap sorry! wewe were just jealous because she got zaidi attention than you!"
"N-no! That's not it!"
You're hanging onto mercy
Withered on the vine
"You're a monster! A murder!" Scotts mother joined in with his fathers name calling. "Jealously kills boy! and it seems wewe caused it!" Scotts father laughed and stepped on Scott as he walked out the door.
With your feet on the ground, your head in the clouds
And your moyo on the line
Open up your eyes…
Scott hit his hand on the ground and got up. "No!" He followed his father with white eyes. "I may be a monster, but kwa God, I am not a murderer!" Scott gave his father a shove.
You've got to rise up, rise up
When this life has got wewe down
You've got to look up, look up
When wewe tafuta and nothing's found
My eyes have seen the glory of the upendo that's here and now
It's coming down
So rise up now.
His father spun around and gave his son a slap, leaving a red mark. "You dare touch me punk!"
"Yeah! And what are wewe going to do about it?" Scott stood shaken from his parents taunts and the death of his sister
When you're told that siku is over
Long after the sun goes down
And your mind it keeps on racing
At the dreams that don't come 'round
Scott slipped from reality in and out,
"Scott? Scott!" Danny shook his cousin, Scott snapped up.
"What?" He looked around frantically.
"Nothing, you're fine now." Danny sat back down and look back out the window.
When wewe don't know how to surrender
"I hate this place, Danny" Scott didn't songesha from his spot on the window sill.
"Why..?" Danny looked over at his cousin with a confused look on his face.
Cause your whole life's been a fight
"There's nothing here for me." Scotts tail swayed back and forth.
"That's not true, wewe have Cat, and me." Danny relaxed against the couch.
"Yeah. But wewe two are the only ones keeping me here. If wewe weren't, I would've been long gone." Scott traced the raindrops on the window.
When the dark holds wewe and wewe can't break through
Cause wewe haven't seen the light.
"Scott, why do wewe even have a job?"
"Extra money." Scott lied straight through his teeth and Danny could tell.
"Liar. What's the real reason?"
Open up your eyes…
"I've been trying to pay off my dad's debt for his drugs with Banes freaks." Scotts tail stopped moving completely.
"Scott! That's not your place to do that!"
"Oh well. If he doesn't pay, I'm the one who pays for it."
You've got to rise up, rise up
When this life has got wewe down
You've got to look up, look up
When wewe tafuta and nothing's found
My eyes have seen the glory of the upendo that's here and now
It's coming down
So rise up now.
Yeah rise up now,
Oh rise up now.
"That's still not a reason!" Danny tried to reason with his cousin. Scott got up and walked out the door.
"I have to go." Scott got up and slipped out his cousins apartment, closing the door.
And all the lambs roar like lions
And all the prisoners breaking their chains
And all the poor find their treasure
Cause heaven is coming this way.
And all the lambs roar like lions
And all the prisoners breaking their chains
And all the poor find their treasure
Cause heaven is coming this way.
"What do wewe think brat?" His father chuckled and cracked his knuckles. Scott cocked his head to the side and smirked, his eyes glowing furiously.
"Let's play a game Daddy." Scott's voice was deep and demonic. His father stood in awe and the rain picked up outside.
"No thank you!" Scotts father grabbed his wife's arm and started running down the street.[/b]
Rise up, rise up

When wewe tafuta and nothing's found

"Yeah! wewe better run, jerks!" Scott shouted after his parents as they ran down the streets. "Run! And never come back."
Yeah rise up now,
Oh rise up now.

New York City

-------------------------------*
“Are we in position, Draxx?” Revenge whispered.
“Yes. All positions secure.”
“Excellent.”
“Are wewe sure Grant won’t mind us doing this?” Draxx asked. “I mean this is his company.”
“What Grant doesn’t know, won’t hurt him.”
“That’s usually not true.”
Red Revenge laughed.
It took almost two hours for the assassin to appear. She slipped stealthily among the shadows.
“Target spotted.” Revenge said, picking up his gun and aiming it squarely at the feminine figure.
“On your signal.” Draxx radioed over.
Revenge aimed the sights, lined up the crosshairs, and pulled the trigger. The assassin began to scale the building.
“Now.” Revenge said, leaping from the roof of his company at the same minute.
