“Hey I found something.”
He looked over to her as she made her way over. Her eyes were determined, the dark eyes seeming to be black rather than brown.
“What is it? A clue?” she asked.
He shook his head, crouching.
“No. It's a door.”
“What kind of door?”
“Portal, temporary, and zaidi than likely the use of it will be one-way. We'd have to get back ourselves. No other doors.”
“Does it lead to our mysterious kidnapper?”
“No. But it does give us a lead. And it shouldn't be too hard to find out where the other portal is.”
“It's our only lead. Just one door.”
“Well we know the way to finding her will be painful and dangerous. The only swali is, is she worth all the trouble?”
The two locked eyes for several dakika before Becca shook her head.
“We both know she is. How could wewe ask that?”
“I wanted to be sure wewe wouldn't back down. We both know the dangers, the risk, and what happens if we fail.”
“So? I'm in this all the way. Don't be stupid. Let's go.”
“Should we tell....”
“No. He'll get in the way. I don't care if he deserves it au not. We go now. Before it closes.”
“Alright then. Wanna go first?”
“Yes.”
Terror stood back while Becca jumped into the portal then followed after putting a note on the dawati where Alek was sure to find it.
