"Are we there yet?" I asked for the millionth time.
I heard Roy laugh beside me. "Nope, just a few zaidi steps..."
I glowered through my lead-covered blindfold. "You know, I'm starting to think that you're leading me off a cliff."
"Even if I did, you'd be able to fly away. Okay, wewe could take off your blindfold."
I happily unwrapped the cloth, my eyes set on the beautiful spring meadow in front of us.
"Roy, this is beautiful!" I took his hand and walked out into the blooming flowers.
His green eyes shimmered in the sunlight. "This is where I come to relax, all kwa myself. And now wewe get to share it with me." He let go of my hand and laid on the blossoms.
I followed him. "Niiiiice."
He smiled. "This is also where I found out that there was a new Avatar, and so I set out to look for it."
"It?"
He rolled his eyes. "I didn't know if it would be a girl au boy, just an Airbender."
"But why did wewe look for me?" I asked.
He sighed, looking reluctant. "Can wewe keep a secret?"
"As long as Megan doesn't read my mind," I murmured. Looking at his face, I added, "So yes."
"When I first met Erica, I kind of had a crush on her."
And you're telling me this, NOW?!! "Go on," I alisema through gritted teeth.
"But I knew she was with Robin, so I waited for an opening. And when she Lost her powers, I wanted to see if the inayofuata Avatar would be anything like her."
"Am I?" I inquired.
He kissed my forehead. "You're even better. You're like the other half I've been trying to find all my life."
I needed zaidi to be satisfied. "Hmm?"
"Erica, tries so hard..." he alisema slowly, "...to get people satisfied. Like she's afraid she'll mess up."
"And me?" I pressed.
He chuckled. "You don't care what people think about. You're open; you're never trying to hide your insecurities and problems." He looked at me warmly. "The first time I met you, I knew I had found that one person."
I put arm around him. "You're... that somebody, too. Whatever the hell that means."
"Look at us now. A guy who has nothing to look mbele to in his life, and a girl who crashes into anything someone throws at her."

I smiled. "I think I like it that way."
