Batman had no idea what had gone wrong. Communications were down. Cameras were offline. Systems had shut down. And when he had gotten to the base, all he saw was a mess. A battle had taken place. A bloody one kwa the looks of it. And the bullets were still warm. It hadn't happened that long ago. Water dripped from the ceiling and a broken light flickered. Batman went to the computer, checking the systems. Something had been tampered with. au someone had hacked into it. But there was nothing he could do now. The battle was over. They had lost. Young Justice was missing.
Becca ran into the mountain her moyo beating quickly. She stopped when she saw the League there. They stopped talking and looked at her. They looked surprised.
“Becca?! What are wewe doing here?” Flash asked.
“I came to see what the problem was. Robin cut our communication short.”
“No. I mean...how are wewe still here?”
“I was on a secret mission of my own. Why? What happened?”
The League exchanged glances before Black Canary put a hand on Becca's shoulder.
“Young Justice has been...taken.”
“What?!”
“There was a battle. We looked all over for them. They were taken.”
Becca stood in shock. A cold air ran past them and then excited chattering.
“Hey it's the League! hujambo there! How are wewe doing? Great costume! I'm hungry! Got anything to eat?”
The blur ran towards the jikoni and came back a dakika later with a plate of cookies. It was a teenage girl with short red hair and indigo blue eyes. She spat the kuki, vidakuzi out.
“Blah! Ugh! Those taste like metal! Ulck! Gross!”
“Erin,” Becca called.
The girl looked up and saw her friend standing kwa the League. She sped over, giving her a big hug.
“Becca! Long time no see!”
“Erin, how many cups of coffee have wewe had?”
“twelve! Why? Does it show?”
“A little. Another long night as Red X?”
“Yep! And boy did I need the coffee. Stupid poachers! Why do they have to come into my territory? It's Mine! Don't they know that? Mine mine MINE!”
“Erin shut up.”
Erin gave Becca a kuvuka, msalaba look but shut her mouth. However it didn't stay shut long. The dakika Devin and Jade flew in, her mouth was off and running.
“Devin! Jade! Long time no see! What wewe been up to? OOO! Devin I upendo this color on you! Jade did wewe do something knew with your hair? It looks nice! I'm going to find some edible food. BYE!”
Erin ran off again and Becca shook her head. Devin and Jade came up to her just as three others came in. All were girls but each were different. One had pasty white skin, red pupil-less eyes, and spiked brown hair. Fangs peeked out from her mouth and she was dressed in a skin tight black and blue outfit. Another had long teal hair, violet eyes, and kakao brown skin. She had cat like features and was dressed in black and machungwa, chungwa garb that looked zaidi like shorts than an actual outfit. The last had short turquoise hair, brown eyes, and tanned skin. Her outfit was black and indigo blue. Each were personalized to fit their own likes.
“Val!” Becca exclaimed, going up to the girl with short turquoise hair.
“Hello Becca,” the girl said, grabbing her hands, but not looking at her.
“How'd wewe get here?”
“It's dark outside. I may be blind but the night gives me the perfect way to see.”
“Right. Well, I'm glad you're here!”
“I wouldn't miss it!”
“Well I missed Becca,” the cat-like girl teased. “But I don't think she missed me!”
“Court!”
Becca hugged the other girl, turning to the last girl.
“Sylver!”
“Hello Becca. You're afraid of something. What's wrong?”
“Young Justice has been taken.”

Epilouge:
Slade moved into the room. He bowed before the dark shadow. The voice spoke to him.
“You failed me Slade.”
“I know master. But she is stronger than we first expected.”
“Yes. I know. I expected as much from her. But we now have her in a dangerous position.”
“Master?”
“Shade must make her choice. She has followed the Light for seventy years. Now, she must choose whether she is willing to risk everything au to continue to play hero.”
“And if she chooses hero?”
“She won't.”
“But Master-”
“Shade thinks she is in the clear. But I have one last trick up my sleeve.”
