Chapter Two-
Wally was zooming around the Mountain, exclaiming his joy at the disappearance of Artemis.
"Somebody is feeling the aster." Robin muttered, heading towards the living room.
He had no sooner sat on the kitanda and touched the remote when Wally zoomed in at super-speed.
"Whatchawatchin'?" he asked at super-speed.
"News." Robin replied, switching on the aforesaid program.
"Bummer." Wally said. "Watch something exciting!"
Wally snatched the remote away and pressed a few buttons. A onyesha about teddy bears sipping chai came on.
"Exciting?" Robin asked.
"Not the channel I wanted." Wally said, flipping through the channels at super-speed, making Robin sick from the blur of motion on the screen.
''Stop!'' he finally exclaimed, snatching the remote back.
The channel landed on the local news.
"And the Black Adam and Joker are wreaking havoc here in downtown-wait! It looks like the Birds of Prey have come to the rescue!" the news reporter was cut short kwa the arrival of several heroines.
Wally and Robin looked at each other before turning their attention back to the TV.
Huntress, Black Canary, and a female neither of the boys knew were fighting Black Adam while Poison Ivy and Batgirl battled Joker with the help of ---Artemis?
"Batgirl?" Robin muttered at the same time Wally exclaimed "Artemis?"
The two boys looked at each other and burst out laughing.
"I didn't know Artemis was an actress." Wally said.
"She's not." Robin said. "This is real."
"Right," Wally said.
"You aren't very bright, are you?" Robin asked.
Wally ignored him as he watched the females battle the two villains.
The unknown female was shooting Black Adam with expert shots, causing maximum damage. Maximum damage being irritating the villain.
Black Canary let out her famous Canary Cry and threw Adam into a car which exploded, while Huntress leaped on him and threw him into the wall.
Joker was having some difficulty taking on the female archer, the master of plants, and the female crusader.
Batarangs, arrows, and vines flew at the madman armed with knives. Joker laughed uneasily as he sliced arrows and vines out of the air. But a batarang caught him in the chin and threw him back onto the ground.
Black Adam was already in special handcuffs. Barbara went over to pick up her batarang, but the Joker kicked her in the stomach and shoved the dagger into her arm.
Batgirl gasped and fell to the ground while Poison Ivy and Artemis quickly disarmed and handcuffed the villain who was laughing maniacally.
"Babs." Artemis whispered, unheard kwa the TV cameras, which zoomed in on the downed female hero before Black Canary cut it off.
