There, laying in a heap on his side in a pool of scarlet blood, was a seemingly lifeless Robin. inayofuata to him lay his belt, which surprisingly was completely clean, even though it was resting in a three-inch-deep puddle. I was going to ask Fin about this, when I realized she wasn't listening. She was on her knees inayofuata to his body, wracked with sobs. She rested her head on his chest as she wailed in agony. "Cold," she said, between sobs. "He's c-c-cold." Without warning, her hands burst into flames.

After that, the strangest thing happened. As the flames traveled through her body and down onto Robin's lifeless form, it disappeared for an instant. The body, the blood, everything. A mgawanyiko, baidisha sekunde later, it returned, although slightly blurry. Then, without warning, it flickered again. And again. And again. Until the room was filled with a tremendous buzzing noise, that got louder and louder until it was unbearable. I threw my hands over my ears, but the noise felt like it had entered my body and was pounding against my chest. Robin's body flickered again, then blurred, and disappeared, leaving the ukanda clean as always, and Fin hunched over, her head resting on nothing. I saw her open her eyes in disbelief. "He's...g-g-gone? B-but h-h-how?" she sniffled, wiping her nose with the back of her hand.

I stared at the now-empty floor in disbelief. How did he just vanish? Then it hit me.

"He's not dead." My voice cut through the silence. She looked up at me questioningly. "He never was. It was a hologram, a pretty convincing one at that. Well, until your moto destroyed it. They obviously didn't plan for that."

Fin nodded silently, the color gradually returning to her face. "But who?" she asked incredulously.

"I don't know," I replied solemnly. "Whoever it was, though, they were expecting us."

We sat in silence for a few minutes, until, without warning, Fin lunged forward, towards the belt. "Fin!" I screamed, sensing it was a trap. "No!"

But it was too late. Fin grabbed hold of the shining belt, and a portal opened in the ukuta of the phone booth. It looked like a normal zeta beam at first, and Fin, her face lighting up, began to step towards it. "No! Don't do it!" I cried, but it was no use. Recognized. Infinity. B08.

Fin turned around, gave me a pointed stare as if to say "I told you", and stepped inside. Immediately she dissappeared, and as she was whisked away, I thought I heard a faint scream for a second, until it was whisked away kwa the cool night breeze.

As I stared at the beam, which was still blazing bright, I noticed something. Usually it was white, I remembered, but if I looked really carefully, I noticed a faint red glow to it. There was definitely something sinister about it, but I knew I had to save Fin. Gritting my teeth, I stepped inside.

The beam flickered ever so slightly, and I was whisked away.
