I wasn’t shocked- not really, anyways. I had kind of expected this kind of thing. But everyone else was once again placed in their statuesque feature. “What are wewe here for?” I asked, my voice barely escaping the quiver of fear.
Nix’s smile quavered, and for the first time her face fell. “I-I came for help. My world- your future is in serious danger.” She glanced to where the portal had disappeared, and drew up a holographic computer. She muttered something- silently and in Latin, I came to believe. On the screen, it changed from the local news to the world I’d seen in my dream- rubble and dust. I gasped softly as into view came the Justice League- but fighting...
Everyone was paying strict attention to the view on the screen. There was adult versions of us, Aqualad, Tiger Storm, Artemis, Kid Flash- fighting the entire Justice League. There was Red Arrow, firing towards Green Arrow, Zatanna trying to destroy her father with magic and her father simply deflecting it. There were two other figures that I couldn’t recognize at first- but it was suddenly clear that these were the older versions of Robin and Delta. And they were fighting Batman. My eyes were wide beneath the dark glasses, and I watched with a sense of fear and curiosity the scene unfolding before me. It slowly faded away, and the blue glare of the screen that had illuminated my face went black. Turning to us, Nix pulled from her neck a small glimmering chain of gold. My old locket... I fingered the one around my neck softly, feeling the small viungo between each piece. Nix unlocked the small moyo charm and drew a small folded paper from it. When it was unfolded, I was astonished- the parchment that had been creased into the small locket was actually the size of half a paper. Nix turned to me and placed it in my hand- in neat, quick uandishi was a long poem.

A burning torch, a column of flame
In everything but shape, voice and name
A maua, ua blooms the water floods
The dirt will mix in both for mud
While pure wind blows in longing breezes
For creator’s health the cold ice freezes
The blood of all will fill the mind
And one of them in not as kind
To save the world and make it last
The answer lies back through her past
A father’s care will act the same
As one whose eyes will hold no name
To everlast will soon take hold
When precious sapphires turn to gold
And with a final kissing breath
She gives a life, but seals her death
A silver touch, a winged one’s call
In her hands lie the future of all
A loving sister, a forgiving friend
The bird begins at forever’s end

The last line baffled me. Forever was, well, forever. What could possibly be the end of it? The way the whole poem was written was coded and somewhat confusing. It was like someone had taken the Greek Oracle and made her write a poem for fun. That’s when it hit me. Could this possibly be someone's pathetic attempt to tell my future? Nix confirmed my thought kwa explaining.
“This is something we found three years ago- seven years for you. Someone tried to explain that it was a prophecy for my future, but as much as we decoded never actually came true. Here’s what Nightwing, Delta and I figured out:
The first five lines explain wewe and I, and our powers. The sixth line once again refers to us, as the ‘creator,’ considering that with every story we write we create another universe- oh. I forgot, wewe haven’t received those powers yet. The seventh line we’re still working on. The eighth line we’ve come to believe as the mole- no, we still haven’t found it yet. I’ll get to the ninth and tenth lines in a second. The inayofuata two lines after that are about Batman and Robin, how much they’ve cared, and every line after the twelfth we can’t understand.
The two lines I hadn’t explained before is why I’m here- we’ve come to believe that it means that in order to save our lives we need your help. But I can only transfer one if I’m to stay here and let everyone else see what’s happening. The poem says in her past... and because most of the poem references to me...” She finally fell silent. I finished for her.
“I’m going to save the future from the threat that destroys it.” Nix nodded and Robin finally came to his senses. “No! No way! There is no way wewe are going! You’ll- I won’t let you!”
I looked at him sadly. “I kind of... have to.” I muttered. He lowered his head and I didn’t hear another word from him. Turning to Nix, I grimaced and nodded. She handed me a watch, explaining that it would only take me back when I was done. She also alisema the prophecy might not be completely fulfilled in this one saving, only a couple of the lines. I sighed, happy to find out that there was a possibility of me “giving a life, but sealing her death.”

This was turning out to be such a weird day. First Robin went missing, then Artemis--Artemis, of all people--suggested that I jiunge the mission to rescue him. Artemis had always been the most opposed to my joining the team, so hearing those words come out of her mouth was completely unexpected. There's gotta be a reason, I thought. I knew Batman wouldn't fall for it, though, whatever it was that Artemis was planning. But to my surprise, he nodded.

"You can fly, right?" he asked me, in the same gruff tone. I nodded silently. I couldn't fly particularly well though, and I had been hoping to travel...
