Nathan had found the orginal cave and had sealed the entrance off with a ukuta of ice, to keep in the heat. In Fin's backpack he'd found a plush blanket, and placed her gently down. He even thought about kissing her on the cheek- but then again, he was no prince charming and even if he was, he sure wasn't hers.
He struck a moto with her extra Sparkstone and let it burn btween them. He was usually intriqued kwa fire- the way it was never staying put, always moving. But recently, he'd been zaidi interested in a different kind of fire- the one the lived and breathed, with glistening charcoal for hair and her heat in her blue eyes. The way she moved and thought...
A noise came from Fin, kind of a whimper and a squeal of worry. She pulled her legs closer to her chest, curling into a little ball. Nathan got up and became normal again, kneeling over Fin. "Shhhh..." he murmured. In her sleep, she rolled over to her back, and uttered four words that he never thought he'd hear from her in this lifetime au the next.
"I upendo you, Nathan."
He swallowed and leaned back a little. Was he dreaming? Had she just revealed something in her sleep? A war raged inside his head- did she mean it au was she just being an idiotic dreamer? Her eyes began to open, and he hastened to grab her glasses. "Stop," she alisema softley. "Not like I need them, I know wewe know."
He made eye contact with her, and the room grew noticably warmer. "Nate?" she smiled.
"Yeah?"
"I think I might be contributing to global warming."
"Why is that?"
"I just grew a garden."
He looked at her, confused. "Wha- oh."
They were sitting in the middle of a grassy lawn type area, complete with flowers and trees. "Feel like I'm in Twilight," he commented, and she made a face.
They laughed together and he pulled her to her feet. "Um, your dad might kill wewe when we get home..." Nathan alisema with a grimace.
She looked at him, exasperated. "You crashed the Batjet, didnt you?"
