Young Justice Article: Girl of The Gale

“If I go crazy will wewe still call me Superman?” The young girl sang along with the radio. Her mother laughed at the sight of her daughter baging her head to the beat of the rock song. Taking one hand off the steering wheel she ruffled her daughters hair and then started watching the road again.
“Alright, Supergirl," Her mother mocked "That's enough 3 Doors Down for you,” She chuckled and changed the station to the girls protest.
“A group of heros have saved yet another town,” The reporter said. The blond haired girl gave a huge grin and put the radio higher.
“The heros consist of Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Superboy, Artemis, and Miss Martian,” The reported added. The girls grin got wider and green eyes went big at the names of her heroes.
“You could jiunge them wewe know,” Her mother alisema
“What?!” The girl alisema shocked “No way! They are the heroes! How can I manage to join them?!”
“Of course, silly me, it’s not like wewe can create gale force winds with a snap of your fingers, au can fly at speeds of Mach 20! 20 times the speed of sound!!” The mother alisema sarcastically, the girl huffed. Gale, that was her name, literally means violent storm. Fitting to her power even though its a guy name.
“An average person can go at speeds of mach 10...” The girl alisema softly
“With a huge jet, that took forever to build,”
“Alright, but I’m still not joining Young Justice,”
“Robin doesn't even have powers,” The mother said, the girl picked at her jacket, that covered her white dress. the koti, jacket was made to look like Robin’s uniform, her inayopendelewa hero. It had taken forever to convince her mom to let her wear it.
“But he was tried kwa Batman, that should count as a superpower,” The girl added and smiled “Let’s just get to the garden,” the girl added. Her mom worked at a fancy garden restaurant. It was like a huge nature reserve with a restaurant in the middle. Gale loved working there, she was only 13, but she was allowed to take care of the plants and help be a water when there was too many people. A few dakika past in the car ride, when her mom screamed, Gale was confused but then saw it. It was as if time slowed down for her, she saw the car moving towards them painfully slow, then crash into their car. The glass fragmented and flew around their heads in slow mo, then they flipped over roof of the car now below their heads, spinning slowly. Then it all stopped and Gale was upside down, with blood dripping down her face her clothes in tatters, she tried to get up, but everything was fuzzy and she couldn't feel her body parts. Mindlessly she pushed open the door, crawling out, she lifted her head and saw a car speeding at her.

The two bats and a bird fired their grappling lines at the ceiling, Artemis following their example. Robin grabbed Kid Flash and Batgirl Zatanna, dragging them onto the walkway.

"Well, well." Joker said. "The Batman does it again."

"And the Batgirl." Barbara added.

Joker cackled. "Well come and get me then!" he said.

Zatanna muttered a spell and threw objects at Joker. Artemis shot arrows. The two bats threw batarangs at the madman while the little bird swung across the gap in the walkway. The junior speedster sped across the gap and joined his friend in close combat.

As we walked through the halls of WayneTech, we exchanged nothing but silence. The awali predicament still left us shaking, and now we were out to tafuta for more. It was obvious that Scarecrow knew of our presence, which is why he had the gas sprayed all over the building. Every now and then I heard rats squeaking, glass breaking, and spiders crawling, but none of them so much as gave me a start.
Oddly enough, Robin knew his way around the building. Without getting lost, we retrieved and destroyed much of the fear serums, but we weren't done unless we found Scarecrow.
