Should I say to my Marafiki that I'm watchin ANIME?

I've never alisema to my Marafiki that I'm watchin anime because they're sayin it's just crap.
for example one of my Marafiki say that Pokémon is just crap, he is drawin and makin fun of it all the time.
I watched Digimon one time when an anoter friend of mine came in to my room, we should do homework together at my house then digimon was on and he asked me if I watched it, but I said: just when I'm bored...
I alisema it to him so he would'nt begin laugthin of me.
