Recommend me an anime!

Space Dandy.

"Gegege no Kitaro." That anime was a manga created in 1959 kwa artist Shigeru Mizuki. Beside his mostly-decayed father, Kitaro is the last of his kind - The Ghost Tribe (幽霊族, yūrei zoku).

His macabre beginning is when his mother died when he was still in her, but he manged to be born and crawled out of the grave. His father, not wanting his son to be alone came back as one of his eyes and known as " Medama-Oyaji." He fights for peace between humans and yokai, which generally involves protecting the former from the wiles of the latter. Kitaro and his father are accompanied kwa Nezumi-Otoko (Rat-Man) and Neko-Musume (Cat-Girl).

Kitaro became an anime series in 1968 and four other anime versions were made as well - 1971, 1985, 1996 and 2007. The anime became REALLY maarufu in Japan but strangely not here in North America.
