Snippet of new marina song 

Marina & the Diamonds today posted a snippet of some new music via her Instagram page (as can be heard below).

1) Well, firstly, it’s fantastic to know that something in Marina Land is happening. There is movement. And even if an album isn’t due for another year. At least we know that something is on its way. (And anyway, Marina also tweeted ‘End of Summer’ which is basically her cryptic way of saying that she’ll be releasing something by the end of the summer. Right? Right?!)

2) The song itself sounds like a huge trademark Marina ballad. Something in the vein of Obsessions or Starring Role. AKA: exactly what Marina does best.

3) Or perhaps it’s the intro to an electro-pop banger, and she’s just trying to throw us off track. Either way, it’s alright by us.  Marina has proven time and again that she knows exactly what she’s doing, so we trust her judgement.

4) Of course, we couldn’t comment on new Marina material, without mentioning her voice, and I’m sure we can all agree that Marina’s voice sounds as brilliant as ever here. Those iconic, recognisable vocals are still very much intact.

5) Finally, we have a complaint Ms. Diamandis. The snippet is very short. Far too short in fact. 15 seconds of an instagram video is not nearly enough Marina to satisfy us. Give us more!
