I am focusing my attention on Bangel as it is the couple i do know best, so please any Spuffiers out there write one explaining the Spuffy era.

In season 5 when Buffy scarificed her life to save Dawn. Buffy was dead in the end of season 5. Season 6 Buffy was brought back to life from Willow and the gang. Buffy was lost. She was in terrible pain. The pain would never stop . She wish that it would end. Buffy went to Spike to explain the pain and torment that she felt . She struggles to readjust her life. In the end of "Once zaidi With Feeling". We all saw that Buffy kissed Spike. Then in "Tabula Rasa". Finally the epsiode "Smashed" she figure out that Spike's chip stop working only on her. Buffy fought Spike in the end of "Smashed" . Then Buffy and Spike stopped fighting . Buffy wants feel something from Spike. The epsiode "Wrecked" Buffy can't believe what happened the other night with Spike. Buffy realizes she must give up her additive relationship with Spike. That it torments her as much as it brings her fleeting comfort.Buffy fears that the magic that brought her back has somehow changed her.

Let me ask a (common) question: Why did Spike decide to run off and get his soul?

I know the automatic Spuffy answer to this-- Because he was in upendo with Buffy. I've heard this. And AFTER he gets his soul and becomes all un-crazified, I do not doubt this claim.

HOWEVER-- I have plenty of issues with the claim that Spike was in love with Buffy beforehand.

Let's go back and take a look at how Spike acts when it comes to girls and relationships throughout the show. Obviously the main relationship we see him is with Drusilla. It's clear, especially when Angelus comes into the picture, that Spike...

Ok, my hand has been forced on this essay.

Angel leaves Buffy in Season 3 because he realises that she would never be able to have a normal life as long as he's around...sacrificing something wewe truly want for the sake of somebody elses happiness is a true act of love. The reasons are all there for us to hear, The Mayor explains the pain to come in 'Choices' and then Angel himself does so in 'The Prom'...as well as Joyce. Bangel vs Spuffy!

Its kind of a big debate really isn't it. Like for instense, who did Buffy upendo the most and so on, but my opinion really is that she loved them both the same, but just in different ways. If wewe haven't loved zaidi than 2 guys before then i don't think you'll understand where i'm coming from.

Buffy and Angel were zaidi of the upendo and feeling side whereas Spike and Buffy was zaidi physical, aswell as the upendo and feeling. I'm a big spuffy fan, so this makala might be a bit biased on the Spike and Buffy love.
