anime ya Bleach Swali

Is anyone else annoyed that Bleach refuses to kill off the "good" characters (there are spoilers in here)?

Kaien may be the only example to the contrary of this, but since his death occurred before the start of the series, I don't count it. Here's the death tolls for both sides:

Soul Society - All captains are alive, though Soi Fon Lost an arm and most took heavy damage. All vice captains are alive, despite the fact that Hinamori was stabbed multiple times through internal organs (previously and zaidi recently), Hisagi was stabbed through and cut across (and continued to fight anyway), Nemu was possessed and had all of her life force removed (Mayuri...saved her...), Rukia was stabbed through, and Matsumoto received a stabbing wound to the neck.
Human world - All of Ichigo's Marafiki are alive and well. The ones in Hueco Mundo all took varying degrees of injuries, but the worst was Ishida losing his arm. Everyone in his hometown is completely unharmed.
Vaizards - Despite a wide array of injuries, including Hiyori's getting cut directly in half at the waist, everyone's alive.
Hueco Mundo - The vast majority of the espada are confirmed to be dead, as are a large number of other arrancar. 9, 8, 7, 5, 4, 3, and 2 are all certainly dead at this point. 6 (Grimmjow) might still be alive, there's uncertainty there. There's some uncertainty about Stark, though since he was literally falling apart last we saw him, it's unlikely he's alive. Yammy looked pretty dead, but since his corpse didn't fade away like Ulqiorra's and many of the rest, I'll assume that there's a possibility he's alive.
Aizen's crew - Everyone except Aizen is dead, and Aizen will be in prison for 20,000 years (hell if I understand why they chose that number instead of, wewe know, infinite).

So tell me, who else sees this massive disparity, and why is it here? It's not incredibly surprising, most shows fall into this rut of wanting to keep too many characters alive, but I'm really having trouble understanding why EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER has to survive every battle, no matter how grievous the injurie

Heh, I've talked to wewe many times about this and I agree completely. Bleach really dropped the ball with this one. It makes no sense how Stark can die from a slash across his chest and Halibel to die from a slash across her gut, but Ukitake gets impaled through his moyo and he was alive! Hiyori gets CUT IN HALF but she lives. Momo got hit with one of the most official combos I ever saw that was meant to kill Aizen and yet she lived? None of that made sense. I can understand that certain characters have a shabiki base but so did the ones that he killed on the "bad" side. I'm quite sure Stark and Grimmjow's shabiki base is much greater than Komamura au Yamamoto's. Speaking of Yamamoto, didn't he use an ability called sacrificial blade and blow himself up? How is he alive? Toushiro gets owned in every fight yet lives, but an espada gets slashed in the gut and kills over? Stupid! wewe have to have characters on the "good" side to die au else your story has zero emotion in it and ultimately starts to suck. I remember when Jariya died in Naruto. I was shocked, I couldn't believe my inayopendelewa character who I thought was unbeatable could get killed and even though I was kinda upset, I couldn't wait to see what would happen inayofuata now that true main characters could die in the series. And lets not forget Whitebeard and Ace in One Piece! What I'm saying is, a story (even ndoto stories) have to have death in it on the "good" side in order to feel realistic and affect the reader emotionally. That's why Bleach has fallen far off for those of us that read the manga. And the anime watchers will soon have the same frustration that we are suffering! Get it together Tite au whatever the writer's name is.

I agree, I think there are a lot of characters they could kill off in order to take the message nyumbani that not everyone in Soul Society is immortal. The fact that we have to bring up Naruto as an example of something better perturbs me, especially considering that that onyesha maoni so many characters as being so important that its mwandishi was willing to commit hari kari and take the best fight in the series (Pein vs. Naruto) and make it completely worthless kwa bringing back every single person Pein killed. Naruto is an example of this being done poorly, but Bleach is an example of it not being done at all. One Piece isn't especially fond of killing off its characters either, but what it did do (and what made this so amazing) is that it offed 2 major characters without much in the way of warning and with dramatic impact on the main character. Sure, no one in his crew has died, but this probably had zaidi impact than that ever would. Death of allies, Marafiki and family makes a story gritty and real, it provides something for the reader to grab onto. Tite needs to take a lesson from that. Part of what I like about the story we're crafting in Bleach: The Fallout is that death is a regular occurrence, and it's something that profoundly affects the mentalities of the major players, specifically that the story is shaped in many ways kwa those deaths. That’s part of the reason why Code Geass is my inayopendelewa anime – many main characters died, and it was not just their deaths but the methods of those deaths that took their toll on the main character and others.

Ugh. Comparing Bleach to Naruto is just proof of how low Bleach has gotten...

I seriously agree with you, but if Kubo kills off a good and maarufu character, he's also killing off that person's fanbase. I think he's trying to kill off zaidi bad guys, but that just puts the uninjured and very-much alive people in retrospect, which is one of the biggest faults in Bleach.
Say if Toshiro died, imagine how many diehard Toshiro mashabiki would freak out and retalulate. When Ulquiorra "died" (in nukuu because Kubo would neither hakikisha nor deny he was dead: Ulquiorra alisema he was the only one with a sekunde ressourcion, but whose to say he doesn't have a third and rise from the dead...?) Kubo recieved literally hundreds of shabiki mail argueing against it, and Ulquiorra was just in the Arrancar arc, he wasn't in it since the beginning where most mashabiki make their attachments (ie. Toshiro).
In any sense in the so called "war of the worlds" (soul society vs hueco mundo set in the human world) shouldve had zaidi casualities.
But there are still two arcs left that we can hope and pray to be better than what we're kusoma now. The inayofuata one will be short and center around Isshin (nothing too special), but the arc after that will be the longest arc ever and "all the majibu will be revealed". So yeah, let's just hope the "answers" come with some killing to even out the cliché happy ending.
In otherwords, all we can do is wait.

I agree about the fanbases, I just don't think that he should be treating every single character as a sacred cow. It makes his characters and the story itself really inconsistent. Take, for example, the massive damage done to Momo. Momo mashabiki aside, she got struck kwa several different captains who were all aiming to kill Aizen. Are we expected to believe that their aim is just that bad? au are we expected to believe that they weren't trying to kill Aizen, that they were aiming to wound and thus aiming to prolong the battle?

Yes, and again I have no objections. It's truely become something of a childs game where no one dies and they live in a happy world. It's rated 14+ but in Japan the rating is much higher because of "spicy language" which is their way of dealing with this repugnant ideal that everyone will get on with their lives no probelmo. It's seriously wrong. It may be that there's a lot riding on Bleach because of it's wide audience, but someone needs to realize that it's not meant for younger veiwers therefore no ones gonna cry if someone head gets hacked off. Isn't Bleach supposed to be an example of life and death? wewe can't just solely have life for all the characters. Do something dramatic and shellshocking-kill someone!

i agree. i think another reason Tite doesn't kill off his good characters is because they have so much, well...character. They all have such unique personalities and bios and even backstories. Maybe he's thinking that killing the character will kill the mashabiki attachment. It's a theory, and I am far from saying that he shouldn't kill off some people to account for other inexplicable "non-casualities" (ie. Hiyori CUT IN HALF!!! au maybe Momo STABBED MULTIPLE TIMES ON DIFFERENT OCCASIONS IN NEAR FATAL AREAS AND STILL REMAINS PERFECTLY FINE AFTER SOME kitanda REST!!!!) Goodness! I needed to say it, because it's simply what I think.

But I loved Komamura! And he loses all the furry lovers kwa killing him, not very logic kwa my book...

But see, that's EXACTLY why Tite doesn't kill off many of his "good guys" because of their fanbases, bios, backstories, contributations and well, lovable factor, I suppose.

...if they're killing off Komamura, that doesn't jive with the manga. As far as I know, Komamura's still alive and kicking in the manga (though they haven't showed him since the fight). If he did die, however, that just leads to zaidi questions. Why were his injuries somehow zaidi severe than Hinamori's? Can only powerful characters die? Is it only because the story for him is over at this point? Does the story dictate death to that extent?

waw, that's pretty well explained, very polite and respectfull (or not), but it reflects my own thoughts. Though Aizen can't die, that's why they imprisined him and did not killed him.

Yup, and since they haven't killed him, there's still enough time for him to break out, slaughter some zaidi people and yet again try to take over the world! I also hate how Ichigo Lost his powers to find out that Aizen was STILL alive and then Kisume struts in and takes care of it! Really? Did have to wait until Ichigo Lost his powers? Geez...I'm mad at Mr. Hat and Clogs right now!!!!

We actually don't know much about Gin's motivations beyond his close association with Matsumoto. He may have been good in the end, au he could simply have been pursuing his own goals. So I don't know what to view him as. At best, he's a character with an evil background who attempted to redeem himself in the end. It was tragic and beautiful, but it doesn't necessarily make him a good guy.
