WHAT IF ........ INSTEAD of Edward turning Bella into a Vampire, HE TURNS INTO A HUMAN! THATS WOULD BE CRAZY WOULDN'T IT? i think it works out so that Jacob and Edward won't have to be enemy's so Bella can keep jacob as a friend still.
I think In Eclipse he said that "I would do ANYTHING to be a human"

BUT with the breaking dawn's preface i think bell has to die/become a Vampire to save Edward or "the one i love" yet that could be anyone
