Cal walked into Gillian’s office and pressed up against the wall. Once he heard the familiar click of her high heels, he silenced his breathing and stood still. Gillian walked inside the room and looked at Cal. She jumped a bit.
“My God, wewe scared me,” Gillian breathed, holding a hand over her heart. She sat down at her dawati and gazed up at him. Cal smiled back at her.
“Sorry love, couldn’t resist. What are wewe up to?” Cal asked, plopping down on her kitanda and propping his feet up on the small coffee meza, jedwali that was beside it.
